@Grummsh00 I have an uncle who was lost at sea for about a month or so. When he was finally rescued he wasted nothing! He eat gophers that summer. I wouldn't recommend it though =)
@arheathen gophers are damaging to fields. this is no worse than setting a mouse trap. if you would get ur ass outta the big city, maybe you would understand the point of this and the nuisance that these gophers cause
@TheZawadzki123 Heck yeah Buddy!! Keep it up. A pellet gun and a quad... you're living the dream son! Give your parents an extra tight neck-hug and thank them for letting you live this American Dream!!
@tampertt What are you on about? I am talking about the joke he makes at the beginning... 'many animals were harmed in the making of this video'...a twist on the usual 'no animals were harmed in the making of this video'... Unless your a 'bunny hugger'...then there is no sense talking to you and you shouldn't have watched the video in the first place.
@OutdoorsMatt Yes you can. These little stinkers are super tough though and often make it back down the hole, even when shot with a regular .22 My brother and I used to shoot them with our BB guns. Confirmed kills were rare, but super exciting for us young hunters.
@TheMontanaDave No Matthews on this clip. I'm shooting a PSE and my two Bro-in-laws are shooting Bow Techs. I'm not a "Party Line" bow hunter. I like most all bows. I choose my bows based on how it feels in my hand.
Great video. Gopher shooting is fun. :P Today I was out hunting with my grandfather's Winchester Model 75 .22 Cooey. That little baby shoots straight as an arrow and its at least 50-60 years old. I got one right between the eyes at a fair distance for iron sights and it exploded. I've never seen a .22 LR do that!
nice shooting and i wish we had more girls like brooke down here in florida, if u mention killing anything they say ur fucked up and tell you that you are going to hell..
I shoot a .17 HMR too actually. Most of the rifle stuff is from my Bro-In-Laws and they're shooting 22-250 and .223 I can't really keep up with them so I video! =)
I have family in South Dakota with lots of farm land. It's a hoot going out and shooting those pests. Every summer I go back out it's like the more I kill the more those damn things breed.
@LcoolJfiveoh you must not realize that gophers eat crops and completely destroy farm land so next time you see a warning and you dont like it leave the fucking video
@spetznaz1337 The sad thing about these little buggers is that they breed so prolifically they over populate. They carry the plaque and then before you know it, there are miles and miles of empty dog towns. It's not like I'm a "gopher manager" but... like all animals they need managed. If you don't keep the populations under control (i.e. being a good steward) they kill themselves out!
It helps feed the magpies and the crows. The coyotes and hawks are supportive too!. They are leaving snacks for the other animals. Gophers even eat each other! Not to mention it is awesome fun and target practice.
wow. why the fuck are people saying it's inhumane? the gophers on our property are frickin annoying. an it is for fun ya fuckin city chicken shit! that was twards some idiot who commented. sweet video
if u had a field full of gophers u would probably want to kill them bcuz of the mess they make by leaving holes everywhere and ruining crops after awhile u would want to shoot them. And yes it is very fun to shoot these and also yellow bellied marmots
did you at least do anything with them cuz i mean 'm all for hunting but that's just F%$#@D up if ur just killin them especially like that cuz they arn't goin very humanly. AND I DO HUNT!!!!!! it just seems like ur just killin for fun which is kinda messed up..................
uh yeah, just killing them for fun. I could give you a list of good reasons for killing them, but mostly just 'cause it's fun. Thanks for watching though!
shut the fuck up i help gopher hunt on my cuz's farm and when you have a big property like that you WANT to kill the gophers because they make a big fucking mess (and yes its VERY fun)
A pest is a pest....and when it happens to be a gopher....well, we all cant resist dragging out the bow for a lil snipe, and besides, they breed like hell, so it is sustainable if thats what your mad about, and FUN
Hey thanks for watching!! We're shooting Judo Tips and Blunts (Bludgeons) My review of the two is that after a miss, the blunts actually do a better job of "staying put". Weird I know, but the judos seem to skip quite a bit for some reason. The blunts are also a lot cleaner after a hit and do the same basic damage. (At least where gophers are concerned.)
Hey Man, If you ever want to do some shooting, there is no shortage of places to go. I can line you out next spring if you really want to shoot some prairie dogs or ground squirrels. Thanks for the comments!
NO NO N.O. Gophers are dirt rats. They have all kinds of diseases and lice, ticks, mites, etc AND they eat each other!! Seriously dirty animals. They damage ranch and farm lands and ruin landscaping, etc. They are good practice though.
Apple Inc. owns the copyright to "Peach Cobbler", so if you use any Apple software, like Final Cut Pro etc etc or iMovie then you can choose it from their sound library. If you play with Apple's sound library, you will recognize A LOT of their music clips on Outdoor Television!!
I like it. My 204 vs gopher video is just shooting but I like your commentary. I keep planing to do another along the lines of what you did here. Keep up the good work!
