  • @uds2x If your goal is to lose weight and want to preserve as much muscle as possible the key is so slowly create a calorie deficit while keeping protein intake moderately high, I suggest 1-1.5g per pound of lean body mass for males. To answer your questions cardio alone will not burn muscle as long as you as sensible about your overall energy balance. Spot fat removal isn't going to happen, where fat is stored is genetic.
