And by the way aude11360, I love france, i've been there but unfortunately the thing I mentioned sparks a lot of negative feelings in the French who are friendly and opne-minded. These kind of people are found everywhere but France sticks out because it's one of the largest countries in Europe: A world power, strong influence in international decision, making, it's langauge spoken in dozens of countries, passionate culture. It all adds up.

OTHER countries, or are you too looked-up toward the french? The wine was good, once Even my father tells me the same thing, nowadays it reflects the french's attitude towards the outside world.

What is the French attitude to outside world? I'm English, live in France and have drunk wine from all over the world. There are good and bad wines from every wine producing country. France still knocks out the odd good bottle!!! and more diverse wines these day. I know this because I live in AOC Corbieres/Fitou and run a wine review blog.

Well, let's settle one thing. I've a good few french friends but they say the same thing: Some french should drop the old french patriotic behaviour. not ALL French are like this. My friends(from France) feel that these people push France in a Bad Light by critising anything that isn't french or french influenced.
