Not Only did the "new deal" (more like the raw deal) not get us out of the depression, but it prolonged the depression. Our only hope is that the rest of the world won't lend us the money. Please keep in mind the Market Crashed in September 2008, whereby history will record that George Bush was the President at the time. As stated by many conservative that cutting taxes, less regulation and letting the market correct itself without any government assistance goes AGAINST all top economists' professional recommendations both liberal and conservative.
