  • @mujaku blah blah blah harvard this yale that blah blah blah my mom trained 7 children and dozens and dozens of toddlers in her home day care all around the age of 2 so apparently your sphincter theory is in the toilet ...blah blah blah

  • No toddler can be toilet trained if they still lack sphincter control which occurs between ages of 24 mos to 3 years. One sign of sphincter control is the toddler's ability to stay dry for 2 hours or more (both bladder and bowel). Successful toilet training occurs, according Dr. Brazelton, at 3. Relax parents! Nature is doing her thing. Don't push your toddler into what is impossible for them to do. (My wife wrote the book on the normal child. Dr. Brazelton used her book at Harvard.)
