I love watching the UK episodes... it seems more concentrated on what needs to be done rather than the disputes you can find on the US series. Bless Ramsey and his passion for cooking and also wanting to help people achieve their culinary dreams :)
@jmar28a - It's just channel 4's commercial or whatever. It's not where the Curry Lounge is. You can hear the station guy talking about channel 4 blah blah blah then a liquor commercial, then the show starts, in UK.
after watching so much of the us seasons, it's nice to see an intelligent and logical people... as in, the whole of england pretty much.. love the brits.
I think is the only episode that Gordon doesn't even look for something dirty in the restaurant. There is NO Kitchen Examination..... He must love Indian cuisine.. ;- ))
@Tsiartas10Greek Or maybe they passed the examination, and there can't be anything positive said about the restaurant on this show (like he said at the beginning "I'm not here for the positives").
45:08 Gordon was like "Fuckin' delicious~ *nomnomnomnomnom* " and the the customers around was like looking and their faces was like, "I want some!! " XD Awkward and hilarity.
@Kixshani The head chef is actually decent and has a deep deep passion for cooking that stems from his mother's dishes. That's one thing Gordon likes to see in chefs, the passion of their craft.
@iamthedragon100 It seems the American producers look for weird, pathological people, whereas the UK producers just look for restaurants in trouble. You can't talk calmly to insane people.
Plus, I think they tell him to turn it up in the US. The whole feel of the US version is more highly produced. Makes it feel less real. It probably *is* less real.
@iamthedragon100 - Yes, in this episode in particular GR acts nicer. I think it is because Ramsay is passionate about Indian food and has real respect for Khan. Khan is in a different league than most of the clueless "chefs" you see in other KN episodes (both UK and US), and Ramsay treats him like a peer, a fellow master chef.
@iamthedragon100 that's a given, he gets paid by us version to be act all angry and act a bit fake sometimes. I like the UK version more, because he is authentic and really shows his true personality.
@iamthedragon100 Because the producers pretty much tell him to be more angry and they edit it to fuck with all the dramatic music. And, there are more retarded Americans in the US
@MrAlexbache i love the uk version 100 times better. 1. i can hear swear words like an adult. 2. its more laid back. 3. no music in background. 4. its more about the business of a restaurant not about not about crazy characters. im moving to europe before i die
@youaccess2008 The US version is also edited a lot quicker, like they're afraid they'll lose your attention if they don't have people moving and shouting every two seconds.
@chubbybeng - I thought the same thing. I absolutely love curry, but honestly, when you eat it, you do smell of it for awhile. I still eat it with pleasure, but yeah, that office is going to need to open the windows and get some extra strength Febreeze...

Out of all the episodes of this show that I've seen, I liked this one best; maybe because out of all of them this one really whetted my appetite!
Ramsay is a virtual genius; he knows food, he knows how to organize, he's great at marketing and most of all he knows how to handle people.
