I'm a graphic artist and this seems like a simple alternative to an expensive tablet. Would this be a good device for importing gesture sketches and drawings? The video showed a child drawing briefly but I was wondering how well it handled more advanced drawings?
There is software provided, most popular pens will use MyScripts. Its sort of the Microsoft to Handwriting devices. You can however use Vista's built in software as well. The DPI is just over 100 resolution, which is more than enough for typical and quick writers.

do you need to buy special paper for it? and what about the ink? and how much does the ink/paper/pen cost?

@nassahkhan
Good questions.
1) No no special paper, it will work on ANY paper.
2) The ink is common, we offer ink packs, but any office supply store will have them.
3) You just need the unit alone, take a look at our current new lower pricing at ElectroFlip(dot)com search for iNote on our website.

Hi, as always, I'm curious about the handwriting recognition ability. Is it proprietary software or the one that Microsoft provides on Vista?
Also, in tablet mode, what would be the purported DPI resolution of the device?
Thanks.
