I see people all the time talking trash about this truck ot this engine or that. It is what you like or prefer. They all have their good points and bad points. I have a 01 F250 powerstroke with 250,000 miles on it that I wouldn't trade for any truck. has it had it's issues? Yes as well as every other truck I have ever owned. Unless it get stolen or crashed, I'll drive it the rest of my life.
I love all the idiots on here. They think that what ever pile of shit that they are driving now is the strongest truck out there. Ive owned all three. for the money....they are all junk. with the exception of the newest engines on the market, i have driven them all. I own a 03 f350. love the truck....the 6.0 that is in it, is a gutless pig. the newer dmaxs are nice. though chevy trucks are junk. Cummins engines pull like a sombitch. Put a cummins in a ford and you will have the best truck
@clintymouse what, do you think about the 7.3? I drive a E450 with the 7.3 once in a while that thing is slow as hell. I thought my Jeep was really slow but the E450 is a lot worse.
@640101vh, the Van diesels are tuned down alot, put a the injectors and turbo off a superduty in it, with a tuner chip on that set up you would have the fastest van in town! do this and you will have your eyes opened to the true power of a 7.3L
@clintymouse i have a cummins im trading it in for a new 6.7 superduty. even the older cummins dont even have enough balls to get out of its own way, it can pull up to 3200rpm but after that forget it, slow as hell and struggles on ramps and bridges. i test drove a new 250 holy shit that truck was sweet pulls my 19000lbs tractor like nothing. my dodge really blows. the new dodges= junkkkkk
what is with dodge owners? i mean yes i had a 96 cummins 12 valve hell of a truck but got rid of it. i now have a 04 f250 6.0 and its every bit as good as that dodge i had.I dont know why dodge owners act like tough shit because theyre trucks have shitty trannys and falls apart.and plus half the guys who have dodges dont even do their own work on their trucks and just abunch of idiots who dont know even know how to change the fuckin oil on their trucks lol im not sayn all of u are like that tho.
16000 lb truck??? haha more like 10000 lbs. I have a small scrap yard and pretty good on truck weights and that truck is no where near 8 ton... 5 ton at best which is about the same as a larger skidsteer which I haul with a 88 chevy 1 ton with a big block...
look at how the front of that ford is lifted as hell. you wouldnt have that problem with a silverado 3500. best in class. fuck ford and dodge. CHEVY!!!!!
Absolute hogwash. The flatbed trailer itself does not weigh 7000 lbs and the flatbed truck does not weigh 16000 lbs. Instead, the person must be referring to load hauling capacity of each.
Cummins is not the best diesel engine in the world cuz it also has its own problems and there's no such thing as the best diesel engine in the world. Ford powerstroke isn't perfect, Chevy duramax isn't perfect, wtf makes you so sure your cummins is so god damn fuckin perfect? ITS AN ENGINE! IT DOES WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO! they aren't perfect and I'm tried of hearing that they are. I prefer Duramax over the two, even though I'm a ford guy, but this truck is fuckin amazing, 7.3L is a beast!
The best part of the video is perhaps that the truck on the trailer appears to be Ford as well. I'd like to see this thing stop though. Those trailers typically are airbrake equipped and at 23,000 # (sans pickup weight) that driver better hope he has a mile to stop.
I'm skeptical that truck weighs 16K. I'm thinking more like 10 - 12K. But if I'm wrong that's still only 23K and this ford sounds like it's really struggling. I'm just saying you should put that ford up onto the float with the other truck and I'll tow the rest of the way with my cummins.
@superduty110 it ould but the axel would snap... my bro got a cummin... no probles with the engine but 3 trannys and 5 drive shafts latter he got a 7.3 1 injector and 250k miles and hes happy
@superduty110 you know, saying a Cummins can't pull a trailer empty if fucking childish, I hate getting into these dick measuring contests, but just today a buddy and me pulled a trailer with his 97 and the trailer and load was grossing 29,000lb then add in 7,000+lbs of the truck and 315 series tires, and that isn't even the heaviest it's seen, yea it was struggling a bit, but if you say yours wouldn't you've got some serious denial issues. Now be it the 6.0 isn't my favorite engine in fact I
@superduty110 I would rather have a 6.5 GM diesel, but all the engines are strong engines, they're all diesels so naturally i like them all. What i'm getting at, is there is no reason to rag on someone elses brand just because you hate it, everyones entitled to their own opinion, but somtimes it's better to keep it to your self instead of sounding like an arogent asshole, i'm probably going to regret posting this bacause it'll mean i'll have to post to you again, but oh well, it needed to besaid
@superduty110 man you obviously dont know that cummins is so much better the your powerjoke, yuour powerstroke would powerbreak before it powerbroke loose on dry pavement.
@scoobiedoo96 23K is alot of weight. Thats more then any of the new ones rate, and it doesn't sound like he is strugfling it sounds like hes runnin up high rpms because of the weight.
@scoobiedoo96 its a god damn 7.3L what the hell did you expect from it.. things a dinosaur it pulls quite well for having what.. 400 maybe 500 ft-lbs of torque
@xmodrock if your talkin bout the truck on the video, sorry, this truck is not a 7.3, it is a 6.0, look at the lights on the mirror, 7.3's did not have that, nor did it have the chrome powerstroke badge on the door, and also you can tell by the way it sounds that it is a 6.0
not bad for a little 6.0 guess 6.4 would move that pretty well. kinda suprised you got a stick-shift though most ppl I hear say autos are made better for towing then sticks.
@abram7117 depends really on personal pref man i have a auto but id preffer a manual the biggest things is u can control speed and rpms alot better with a manual especially on grades
definitely need to see more vids of this truck in action! get a vid from inside while towing... i love the sound of a powerstroke pulling with a manual.
