MK9 has fun gameplay, a wide assortment of features and game modes, an excellent story mode, good graphics, superb art direction, and fun online. There is plenty of strategy to be used in the gameplay and many combo combinations available to learn and use. And aside from the gameplay there are also fatalities. The characters are also diverse with many different abilities. SF has many clones with nothing much that's special about them, it also has no story.

Oh let's see, I have five buttons to choose from for an attack, except that if I am ducking and press HP or LP it does the same thing, and the same goes for ducking and pressing LK or HK. Also standing High Punches and low punches do the same amount of damage, although blood flies out the guy's face if I use high punch. Yeah, Street Fighter and King of Fighters are way better than MK. 94 people suck Midway's cock.

I agree with Mahalo. I've always like MK. But this game has alot of blood and gore. But it's too easy to be cheap. And the servers for this game is terrible. The game has stupid ass wake up attacks which make it worse. Fuck MK9. MKvsDc was ALOT better. More balanced. Sure infinites. But it's easier to win an infinite match than a spam match.
You suck, the game is fun because it isn't fast paced, in those other games. It's going so fast you barely know what's going on. The game takes skill. Also, Halo sucks, you fight against at most 3 people offline, where can easily screen cheat, and most kills are shots to the back, is that really fun shooting someone's back. Anyways PS3 is better, has better graphics, games, and has blue-ray. God of War is better kratos was included in ps3 mortal kombat but chief isn't in xbox.

@dragonps this obsession with balancing is unrealistic, when you look at all the permations for fighting games.. getting the speed of the characters right, deciding how much damage combo's should be limited to, projectile balancing- e.g. their speed, size, power etc, it's a miracle that the game plays aswell as it does. Yes netherealm dont have the experience of say Arc/capcom etc, but what they have made is a fun game with enough of a balance in 2p to find characters that match up close enough.

Yeah I liked Mortal Kombat when I was a little and it first came out. When MKIII came out, I quit playing MK. It was a fad. Fatality Lives pretty much tries to present itself as a ultra gory game, and taking the fatalities to another level, not much emphasis on the actual gameplay itself. Yeah, MK is for little kids who buy the game just for the fatalities. That's old. Grown folks play Tekken, SF, VF stuff like that.
