i would have to disagree. i believe a front engine rear transmission car (such as a Porsche 944) would handle better than a mid engine with similar suspensions
If that was true, F1 cars wouldn't be mid engined.
Anyone who's driven a mid engine car knows that the limits are way higher than on any other setup. The only problem is that when you break the limit, it's much harder to recover in a mid engine setup, than in front engine.
Don't totally agree but standard text and 500 chars isnt enough to prove it.
However F1 is that way for aerodynamic reasons more than handlings. Remember they create about 2.5 times the downforce needed to stick them to the ceiling so handling is more dependent on that than actual ability like a road car
good job to the guy in the miata, the guy with the lotus just did donuts.
coalandnuclear 1 year ago
Um i saw no drifting in the video. I saw a miata take a nice turn and then an elise doing doughnuts followed by the miata doing the same...
People need to learn the difference.

flooring the gas and turning isn't drifting... infact those werent the smoothest donuts, you always flung the rear out at one point...
DeStryke51 4 years ago
Ever driven a mid-engined car?
Donuts are never smooth, because the front is light, so it's almost never pinned to the ground.
That's why they're superior in corners, because the weight transfer is so much more neutral and controllable than in other engine setups.
I'll agree that the Elise isn't for donuts though.
PS: John tous xairetismous mou, me geia to Z4. ;)
