  • was this recorded from a game boy? the green color one from the 80's?

  • Hahaha yeah...Game Boy Camera actually! 1998!!!!

  • Sorry Raven KL20 I was wrong

  • Doc wouldn't have died, he's very smart and he would know to leap back from the wires just as the lightning passed through them

  • Also if Doc died right there at the lightning strike there would have been a huge paradox. Thus ending our space time continuum --- centralized mostly to our galaxy. ^_^ Cause Marty could never have gone back in time if Doc had been killed in the past at that moment. Also there can be an infinite number of Marty's in the same time as long as the previous ones dont interrupt or hinder the others from doing what they do, to get back to whereveer they are going. The path cannot be broken.

  • dude its just a movie lol

  • something thats been bugging the hell outta me..its a big hole in the story.. and it completely ruins the moment for me on this scene! they forgot the seconds in the minute.. how were they so sure that the lightning would strike at exactly 10:04:00? it very well could've struck at 10:04:30 or 10:04:15 or whatever, they had a 1 in 60 chance! better yet, a 1 in 120 chance if you think about split seconds..

  • Doc gibbs? what? i dont know doc gibbs but i know doc brown if thats who u mean. i kinda see what you're talking about though.. when doc was hooking up the cord, he touched the lightning which shoulda killed him..

  • For some reason I confued Doc Brown with the drummer from the Emeril Live band, kinda drunk forgive me, let me try that again. The lightening stuck right as Doc Brown connected the wires. 1.21 gigawatts is enough power to liquidify Doc Brown the moment the Delorean would hit 88mph, killing him instantly, creating an alternative reality where the time traveling Delorean would have never existed. The question involved in the paradox is if the Delorean never existed, where does it go?

  • back to 1985! doc wouldnt be alive, but marty and the delorean would still be there becuz... well.. marty and the time machine traveled there.

  • alright now that i think about it.. you're right.. where would they go? cuz if doc dies, then marty couldnt have gone back in time. the car would've disappeared during the time jump, but the time warp would still be open, marty would be stuck inside the space time continuem.. or maybe he would get back to 1985 but with no car, he'd just kinda fall out of the time warp

  • But 1985 Marty still exists, because his parents still conceived him, there just would have never been any time machine. There is a scene at the end of the movie where two Marty's exist at the same moment, damn dude, time travel is a mindfuck

  • well.. maybe the time travel marty should run around secretly, and try to figure out how to build the time machine, build it, then go back in time with extra feul for the delorean, which would save doc's life but then you would have 2 martys in 1955, and then you would have.... 3 martys in 1985 which would really be clusterfucked

  • naw dude, I think two is the limit of 1985 Marty's that can exist at any given time, If there were three time and space would probably tear apart destroying earth and/or the entire universe

  • @MrNorbertweiner There's a tiimeline of the entire series somewhere on the web, where they worked out that in Hill Valley for about six hours in 1955, there are two Martys (from I and from II), two Doc Browns (the original and the one from II), two Biffs (original teenaged and the old one from 2015) and *four* DeLoreans (one from I, a flying one from II with Doc and Marty, another flying one from II that Biff brought back, and the fourth buried in the old mine tunnel since the 1880s).

  • @RavenKL20

Uh hello, if you look closer, he actually jumped back just as the lightning came down the cord

  • no it hit him, he let go as soon as the lightning went through the cord, so im sure he still got a little bit of shock, its possible that he woulda lived still after the lightning hit him, The average stroke of lightning peaks at 1 terawatt and people have lived through it

  • Because as soon as the clock was struck it died and in 1985 where Marty is from the clock tower was left unchanged --- hence the flier and the lady telling him to "SAVE THE CLOCK TOWER! SAVE THE CLOCK TOWER!" ....and the clock tower pamplet labeled the exact time the lightning caused the clock to stop ^_^

  • the clock tower has no second hand. the clock said 10:04 for 60 seconds. so they still had that 1 in 60 chance of hitting it

  • @RavenKL20

I believe that the lightning struck soon after the big hand moved so the clock read 10:04 pm just as Emmett planned

  • the best part of the movie i think

  • this is the best scene of back to the future and it is the best video that i have seen on youtube. can you put it onto myspace?
