Don't believe what he says about the manual tranny. I have a 2009 G37 Sport Coupe and It's a bitch to drive in the city because the clutch pedal action is way too heavy. I didn't notice this on the test drive because it was done in the suburbs and backroads with very little stop and go. Although, the shifter has a nice short throw, it's rather notchy and doesn't glide into gear like a BMW I test drove or my 2006 Honda Element. The Element is a pleasure to drive in stop and go traffic.
well, i used to own a 350z stick and that's one heavy clutch... personally i think the g37's clutch is nicely compromised between street and track.. not too soft and not too heavy.. almost perfect and i love it... but then everyone's standard is different... i think it's the clutch that 350z should have had...
the g37 was released with the nissan altima and the coupe and last year they were out on sept but in 2008 the year they got redesigned they came out in october, and this year the altima sedan and its coupe version got refreshed and i think the g37 will get refresh too, they will be redesigned in 2012-2013 with the bmw 335i

Well, it is still a muscle car, I would call the V6 a sports car, and the SS a true monster! Yea, I think Nissan knows how to give some of the most speed for the dollar, whether its a luxurious Infiniti or a more affordable Nissan. For speedy Sedans, the best deals in my mind is the Charger R/T and the G sedan. The G37 beats any BMW that's not at least 10,000 dollars more too, the G37 interior is definitely as good now, unlike the original G35.

@bonds911 actually, the evo 9 is not in the same class as the G37. They are the same price range. But the evo is a track car, and the G37 is a luxury coupe. Two totally different cars. I love how all these m3 drivers continue to draw comparison to the g37. The g37 was never meant to compete with the m3, the closer competitor is the 335i, which Infiniti keeps with rather well. A well equipped m3 now costs anywhere from 60 to 85k, when the new Nissan GT-R35 would shove its pole in the M3's ass and its basically the same price.

I saw a video on youtube today that was produced by Motor Trend and i also have a friend that works for Motor Trend and it was a video with the Infiniti G37 vs. the BMW 335i and during the test my friend said that they over heated two BMW's even though the videos only show one over heated while the 1 G37 kept up with all of the tests. here is the url below in the next comment for both videos
