  • I thought it was cool, having Steve not be the ONLY bionic person up to this point. Jaime wasn't the second bioniic enabled person it was Barney. Before Steve, Jaime, or Barney it was Maximillion, Jaime's German Sheppard. Cool childhood memories flow!

  • Ha! Barney miller!

  • Time to put Steve down. He's just not as good

  • Love the cheezy sound effects

  • steve austin is jealous 'cause he got more limbs.

  • But "Sasquash" was a way better! Lol.

  • @mistacord

    hahahhahaha

  • Wanananana

  • So.. what was the difference? I say inflation.

  • bionic man came to my club once,i said dont use this door use the other door round the back,he said do you know who i am im the six million dollar man,i said it wont take you fooking long then..

  • who won.

  • watching the dvd interviews, ect.. Markham was the producers first choice for playing Steve Austin. I'm glad they went with Majors.

  • @hulkster46a Marhkam was an awesome bionic villain counterpart.

  • @videozfann Yeah he was, I wondered how he would of done fighting bigfoot. lol. He makes a great villian. I remember him in the hulk episode, Prometheus.

  • @hulkster46a I would like to have seen him come back in the 4th or 5th season for one more run, maybe even doing a mission with Jamie and Steve.

  • @videozfann Yeah I woiuld of liked too of seen that too. I guess one troubled bionic person at a time, lol.

  • But Barney, speed and strength without control, is nothing!!!!!!!!!!!

"With great power...." Oh that's Spider-Man, oh well, the principal stands!

  • I tried the kicking the door down stunt--was locked outside the bathroom--and only put a big hole in the door. My ol' man then kicked my bionic a**. :-/

  • I loved The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman when I was a kid, still great to watch now I am nearly 46 years old.

  • The extra million was spent on a chest wax.

  • uh... ... congas.

  • large, troubled woodpeckers were hired to play the congas...

listen how the congas can't stop - they can't stop playing the congas throughout..

Maybe the congas give him his super power, not bionics... or maybe just a little bionics work to a point, then the congas take over for the more difficult tasks...

the congas rip even when the orchestral stuff pauses... Coke or speed fed to large woodpeckers or maybe to small, angry Gnomes.. then-popopopogapoppotpptop- all hail the congas!

  • 0:46 The sound when he jumps, to remind you he really jumps...

  • No entiendo, que gracia tiene el hombre de 4 miembros bionicos

  • With all the bionic upgrades, I guess they just couldn't get rid of his chest hair

  • they are running in slow motion because the director wanted the audience (that would be you) to imagine in their minds just how fast Steve and the seven million dollar man were moving in reality. its lightly based on einstiens theory of realitivty that the fast we move through time, the more things seem to appear slow. That why when you are on a jet plane travelling 500 miles an hour, when you look out of the window it looks like you arent moving that fast at all.

  • @22centman36

No that's actually because you are so far away from the ground there is hardly any parallax. It's the opposite if They were moving super fast they would look super fast to us, and we would appear to be hardly moving to them.

  • @22centman36 . not quite! that is an optical illusion, based on the simple fact that when you look out the window, you are looking at far-away things. things close up would fly past you at very high speed. einstein's theory really only makes a dent when you get pretty close to the speed of light, and time, relative to you, would seem to be passing normally.

  • they both look like fags.he just had to do one more rep!

  • why are they always running in slow motion, is that supposed to mean its real fast?

  • @mjai23 yep!

  • @videozfann - It's really funny that this guy was named, "Barney Miller". *lol*

  • The bionic drop kick a oldie but goodie. Its time for Steve to update from xp to seven.

  • Bionic olympics.

  • this was the worst superhero we ever had now that i watch it in my 30s what the hell was i into as a Kid? and in the descrption my dude wrote Steve Austin vs Barney miller CTFU!!!

  • Barney Miller?

  • @whippetblues I remember him. He was a wrong 'un.

  • why does steve austin look surprised that the 7 million dollar man can do what he does? He's supposed to! he costs 1 million more!

  • @bladerunner372

He had 2 bionic arms...a Million more

  • I remember a scene where they arm wrestle but Steve doesn't know that Barney is bionic and when he gets his arm smashed thru the table, he's totally flabbergasted. I wish I could find that clip somewhere.

  • @gigisdad It has been posted, repeatedly but gets pulled for copyright.

  • Is it gay if I've had this dream before?

  • @crud4 I'm afraid this is a clear case of homosexuaility. Ner mind!

  • QUE PELOTUDES

  • Nowadays if they wanted a systems upgrade they would sync with their Iphone and download and app or something! LOL!

  • @Marvel126 lol

  • the bionic activation sound will never get old.

  • @reemanmusic I met Lindsay Wagner, got her Autograph, told her i used to Run in slow motion when i was a kid, she started laughing !1

  • @reemanmusic its my ringtone on my iphone

  • @reemanmusic Dude, I used to love this show! Fun fact: The bionic sound activates even when he poops.

    All hail the Conga!

  • Let's see? Steve was the world 1st Bionic man, Jaime was the world 1st bionic woman, Max was the world first bionic animal (dog). Now I would love the see the nation's first bionic man, or woman of color.

  • @QuietStormMan ever heard of Cyborg from the Teen Titans? first media appearance aside from the comic books was on Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians in 1985.

  • @67markyboy Vic Stone is the bees knees.

  • @67markyboy It was almost on a TT animated show a year earlier but ABC passed on it.

  • Just put my order for the DVD set a couple of days ago.

  • i cant beleive i used to love watch this.. FUCK!

  • What a GROOVY bass line!!! (kloom kloom!!)

  • This jazz music they had in the first few seasons really sets a great tone for the show. Showing men running in slow motion would NEVER work without great music to enhance the scenes. Wish I could get a hold of some of this stuff uncut and without the sound effects.

  • the test was pointless anyway, the dude cost a million dolars more, he's supposed to be stronger...faster...better... lol

  • Apparently Markham was the original choice to play Steve Austin but ABC thought he was too "steely-eyed".

  • MAN THE SCENE MUSIC WAS SOOOOOO GOOOOOD ON THIS SHOW AND THE SOUND EFFECTS WERE EXCELLENT!!!! MAN FAVORITE TV SHOW OF ALL TIME! I SEE WE HAVE SOME BASHERS ON HERE TOO. IF YOU DONT LIKE THE SHOW AND THOUGHT STEVE WAS TACKY, THEN LEAVE!!

  • @jd7779311 I'm enjoying every episode in the set. Just finished the first season with Run, Steve, Run.

  • @psxwarrior AWW MAAANNN!!!!! YOU GOT THE BOX SET DIDNT YOU?!! LOL!! I GOTTA GET IT!! DUDE HOW I MISS THOSE DAYS! LOL!! I EVEN RAN LIKE STEVE HOME FROM SCHOOL TO FINISH MY HOMEWORK SO MOM'S WOULDNT NAG ME ABOUT DOING IT WHEN THE SHOW CAME ON!!!..LOL!!

  • They never say where they get the millions of dollars to build these men.

  • @MishuTaste your tax dollars...things haven't changed at all.

  • @yappertrap Yeah, I saw one episode that happened to mention the devaluation of the dollar. Steve mentioned inflation as the reason why it costed more to build Barny than Steve. Makes you wonder if the people at ABC knew the truth, and it came out in trickles through this awesome show.

  • @Lukatme A hairy chest was the rage back then (increase women viewers). Check out Magnum PI....same thing. Hairy chest.

  • I don't remember this episode......cool will search for it.

  • why is steves track suit unzipped to his belly button?

  • Hong Kong Phooey could do the same thing and he was a whole lot cheaper

  • Looked pretty even to me. A waste of a million dollars. Typical goverment wasting our money on stuff they dont need. lol

  • yep, I still have my action figure, but he was never so noisy when I moved his arms and legs.

  • Hey...Steve is wearing that red jump suit the action figure had!

Except...it didnt have the sticker with a logo and his face on it! (which everyone should have on their jogging suit)...

and why is steve NOT wearing a shirt????

  • @Oniro70 Hell because it was HOT outside!!..LOL!!! If you were powered by Automic energy pac wouldnt you be hot chasing someone who is more updated than you are?.LOL!! I WOULD!! LOL!! I'd be sweatin mad!!

  • This guy was Barney HILLER (I'm not kidding)

    He cost 7 million

    Steve cost 6 million

    Ditto on Jamie Summers

Jamie teamed up with a Bionic kid with "implants" so figure 5 mil?

Jamie had a DOG that was a protype...what 3.5 mil?? and he would live 7 f-ing years! 1990 had a new breed of a bunch of bionic teens iwth Sandar Bullock.

There's the reason for our sorry economy...stupid out of control spending on...BIONICS!

  • @Oniro70 Max, the Dog, only cost a million. That's why his name was Maximillion. That was a great dog, and I felt he really added to the show. Once The Bionic Woman moved to NBC, that's when they added Max.

  • 6MDM.com..Time-Life has rrmastred All the episodes...

  • nananananananannanananan...........love the soud fxs

  • yeah but they never made a 7 million dollar man action figure..

  • speed without control is nothing Barney! you just couln't handle it!

  • I loved this show and loved Lee Majors!!! I forgot about this episode.... Steve could have made this more even and jumped alot higher if he shaved just one pound of hair off of his chest! LOL!

  • Love those outfits. Barney just does not look as cool as steve does doing the workouts. I am glad when they reduced his power and there was only one bionic man

  • @dhunt1964

"I am glad when they reduced his power and there was only one bionic man"

Yeah...about that...the spend 7 mil on this dork, and he gets his power turned low? Seems a bit wasteful to me!

Should have put a bullet in him and recycled the parts!

  • Well if Steve Austin was "outdate" all they gotta do was to replace his legs, arms and eye....but with the economy of nowadays dunno if there would be enough funds for that.... : )))))))

  • THE SCENE MUSIC AND THE SOUND EFFECTS JUST DROVE ME WILD AND CRAZY!!! LOL!!! LOVED IT!!!

  • Their first episode was better.

  • The Six Million Dollar Man was my favorite cyborg HERO. The Terminator was my favorite cyborg VILLIAN.

  • In this day and age professional athletes are worth way more than the six or seven million dollar man. Stone Cold Steve Austin is now more popular than Colonel Steve Austin

  • the planetary patriot THE ONLY SUPERHERO THAT WILL SAY FREE PALESTINE.THE ONLY SUPERHERO THAT WILL FREE PALESTINE. AND ISRAEL TOO!

when will hollywood do he six billion dollar man when? maybe the new captain kirk would be good for him?

  • @theplanetarypatriot that's an idea! :) alas I think hollywood is too full of itself to read messages from places such as youtube to get the hint that we are tired of the same old stuff they are spewing as entertainment. I think the new capt kirk would be a good steve austin for 2000's. :)

  • @werkinwoman83 You know I hadnt thought of it, but you're right! I think he would make a better Steve Austin than Cpt Kirk. Of course he would need to bulk up a little bit first.

  • The decrease in the value of the dollar, the show would now be called the 30 million dollar man.

  • i grew up watching this! now...proably a most asked question. Is there a remake of this show, 2000's version, where can i find it? If there was a remake who could play steve austin, oscar goldman, the doctor (sorry forgot the name in the show) and let's not forget the bionic woman. it would be so cool to have a remake for 2000's. :)

  • @werkinwoman83 There is a remake of the Bionic woman. I think the pilot aired last year.

  • I wouldnt want to be bionic cuz you have to move in slow motion all the time. What a pain!

  • The 2 billion dollar man would have ran through the door leaving an outline of his body. He would have also lifted the weight with his bionic ballsack.....

  • @U3X6785 Shhh.. we're not supposed to talk about Chuck Norris, he's a State Secret...

  • ITS BEING RELEASED ON DVD! ...'IT'S WILD STEVE, IT'S WILD!'

  • Steve's chest wig slowed him down !

  • @pgzzz Guys could get away with taco meat in the seventies, lol

  • Austin was just way cooler than the other guy (who ran like a chick).

  • Steve should ask for a systems upgrade.

  • @MadMoneyGirl or a least running pants that went to his shoes!

  • @MadMoneyGirl you cant get an upgrabe once you get bionics, most of the circuitry is wired directly into your brain.

  • I'm the Six Billion Dollar Man, with my bionic limbs I could lift a jumbo jet with one arm and run at 300mph... LOL!

  • dose any one know where i can get this piece of music?the music is as-some

  • OLD SCHOOL

  • where can i get this incidentil music from for mp3?

  • I want to see an updated version.....the six million dollar man vs the 2 billion dollar man. The 2 billion dollar man would even have a bionic dickhead.

  • @U3X6785 Holy Shit !!! lolololololol

  • where can i get this music from it has such pump dose anyone know?if so please let me know. thanks Craig.

  • Isn't that Monte Markham as the $7 Million Man? Or am I visually challenged (yet again)? (;=}

  • Comment removed

  • @blackonics Thanks for confirming that for me. I agree--Monte was a good one. I have fond memories of seeing him on Hawaii 5-0 and other shows of the era. He had a very memorable voice! I think I've heard him do some voice-over work on History Channel programs, as well. You can't forget that voice once you've heard it!

  • Scorpioman1000, I feel your pain. This show was scored by jazz great Oliver Nelson until his untimely death in 1975. A rich discography of his small group (on sax) and big band work exists but is largely out of print and recordings of his soundtrack work (much "ghosting" for Quincy Jones included) are even dearer. His string arrangements from this era resemble his work on "Last Tango in Paris" with Gato Barbieri; the polyrhthms echo "Afro-American Sketches." Now hit those used lp bins!

  • i met Lindsay Wagner and i told her that when i was little i used to run around the house in slow motion, she just smiled at me :)

  • if I were Steve I´d ask Rudy to chop my other arm off so that I could also have 2 bionic arms.

  • New bionic trilogy idea:

remake 1: the six billion dollar man (costs more because of inflation) ....

remake 2: the six billion dollar man v the genetically engineered Sasquatch (might as well give it some scientifc basis)

remake 3: the six billion dollar man v the seven billion dollar man (microsoft financed)

later 'lets milk the profit feature' crossover

    the bionic terminator.

    other spin offs:

the bionic woman, the bionic dog, the bionic menagerie.,. porn version: the bionic coupling

  • WOW! Great scene!

  • It's funny, because at the very beginning, they have the film running at normal speed, and they just look like they are jogging normally, lol.

  • dose any one know where i can get that piece of music

  • Martin Balsam played Rudy Wells in the pilot only. Alan Oppenheimer season 1&2 then finally Martin E. Brooks season 3-5.

  • Alan Oppenheimer was in the pilot as Rudy also wasnt; he?

  • if they wanted a little variety...they could have used o.j. simpson as the seven million dollar man...back in the 70's everyone loved o.j....he even starred in the nbc goldie and the boxer films where he was trying to adopt an adorable blonde orphan...sometimes hollywood misses the boat...just like they did with the 70's wonder woman...she needed a supervillian rival and they could have used jayne kennedy to be nubia...the black wonder woman from the dc comics...

  • Comment removed

  • hey its the lipton teaman lol I remember this guy from those commercials

  • I can think of so many better episodes. John Saxon playing the killer robot, Fembots, Bigfoot, Athena One, Population Zero,

  • Comment removed

  • Where do you think they got the idea from @blackonics? But unlike the ones Austin Powers faced, the Fembots from TSMDM series didn't have machine gun breasts. Course, back in the 70's they wouldn't have gotten away with it either.

  • I remember this! Great stuff! The difference between six and seven million dollars is finite! Monte Markham was one of those great "everyman" actors from the '70s, a staple at Universal (Midway, Airport '77).

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @blackonics Monte had a recurring role on Baywatch!

  • I remember this as a kid back then! Fantastic! I also read somewhere that Lee Majors had to train for scenes like this one everyday, like a marathon to make these look good. Sometimes he had to do his own stunts! You had to be in good shape to make these scenes look realistic! You don't see afterwards when the director calls "Cut!" and the both collapses from exhaustion.

  • Comment removed

  • @blackonics very funny, Lee is the best!!!!

  • @VirgilB01 Yeah, that fight scene at the end of this episode had to have hurt. They were flinging each other all over the place.

  • @psxwarrior They did not fight in this episode. They had a little scuffle and teamed up to save Barney's wife who had been kidnapped.

  • @retrofann1 You know what I mean, anyway.

  • @psxwarrior yeah!

  • They run in perfect synch. I love that! Great show!

  • 1:58 Austin's thunder officially stolen! Albeit temporary ;).

  • @Officetube68 I just love that violin riff at 1:42 that's played in different episodes at times when Steve has a to face a challenging situation or such.

  • This was my favorite Six million dollar episode.

Does Barney drive a Corvette in this episode? I haven't seen this in 33 years.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, the bar scene that was great.

    Did Barney drive a Corvette?

It must be 33 years or more.

  • Comment removed

  • Its was a Signal Red Mercedes 450SL

  • Comment removed

  • Barney may be the newer version, but power without control is nothing, he wasnt mentally equiped to deal with his new powers!

    BETTER, STRONGER, FASTER!

  • You can view full episodes on the net, yes even this one. just google it and look at the bottom of the screen, says view full episodes. about 9 of them available.

  • thanks for all the comments Tsmdm WILL ALWAYS BE A BRILLANT SHOW

  • Check out at .21 where both Steve's and Barney's leg turnover are completely in unison. I always thought this was a nice touch to show that Barney could equal Steve when running bionically.

  • Comment removed

  • Steve won because he is the good guy. Morals, character, judgment and discipline that is the point of the episode bionics don't make the man. Superman Vs Bizzaro, Hulk Vs Abomination from the movie, Obi wan Vs Anakin etc With great power comes great personality blah blah blah you see where I'm going here Oscar Goldman makes that point at the of the end of the episode. Steve is the just better man....and the star of show lol.

  • Steve could have easily beat Barney! How? Steve's bionic eye - infrared. Steve can see in darkness, Barney can't! In this case, $6 million is better than $7 million!!!

  • @JNorum, Barney was stronger and faster then steve and Barney had two bionic arms and legs....but Steve had more experiance then Barney and was better in a fight. Steve knew how to use his bionics better more then just punching and kicking...

  • @Astraldragon1 I would be fine with two bionic eyes and ears. Why should cats, dogs, eagles, & hawks have all the fun of having more heighten senses of vision and audio?

  • @Astraldragon1 Plus Barney had trouble adapting too the use of his bionics, and had trouble accepting them. Steve was better prepared mentally in accepting his bionics.

  • check out his face at .38. Like he has a wad six million dollar chaw in there he's waiting to chew.

  • it is time for the six million dollar man to come out on dvd!! so all the fans of the show can enjoy it all over again. great show

  • battle of the planets
