Bill Mack, years ago, WBAP 820 Ft Worth Texas nightime Trucker Radio DJ, did indeed write this song, and sang it no one else has ever....... pity that it is not available today, dont however ask this prick to sing it live...... he is way too self indulgent to remember from whence he came these days! Sadly true.

I know that most people are more familiar with Suzy Boguss's version of this song. And, I daresay, that her cover of this song is fantastic. However, Merle composed this song and he owns it. The Hag is not only a fabulous stylist; but a great songwriter, too!
