  • hey...its so majestic....u reminded me of my doberman's early days.....she's 8 yrs old now though i still remember feeding her by my own hands.....its a real joy to have them specially doberman...tk cr..god bless

  • Why is the pup hopping like a bunny? Is that normal for a doberman puppy to do that? Is the dog still doing this? Your dog should be 4 years old now. I was just curious :)

  • Beautiful pup..

  • @unityspirit51 Except cropped ears cause MORE infections as the ears of naturally dropped ear breeds do not have the internal hair to protect the inner ear, like those of naturally pricked ear breeds do. So when you crop, you open up the ear for all the muck to go right in, without any natural hair to prevent it. The ears are also major sources of heat loss for dobes, so cropped dogs have a higher chance of overheating. Its illegal here for a good reason, and our dobes are perfectly healthy.

  • @Oreztar Ear cropping is considered the breed standard for many purebred dogs, including the Doberman, but purebred dogs are not required to have cropped ears according to the AKC Standards. Cropping can also help eliminate potential health problems due to long, floppy ears, such as ear mites and infections. Its just safer and healthier for the breed. All our Dobermans were cropped and docked; and suffered NO ill effects from the procedure.

  • @LOKISlog7 The myth about it being healthier and stopping ear infections has been disproven, even most pro-cropping people admit that. It is not true. It is done purely for fashion. And it sickens me to put a young puppy under anaesthetic, which can kill, and slicing his body parts off purely for appearance. Its illegal here, and in many other countries, and believe me, it WILL become illegal in the USA too eventually.

  • @Oreztar Does it sicken you as well; when a male dog is sexually mutilated with the removal of it's testicles? or the surgical removal her ovaries and uterus of females? Do you have the same concerns for the preanesthetic evaluation, anesthesia used in such surgeries? All of our Dobermans were Docked and Cropped. Non of our dogs ever suffered the pain of a broken tail, or suffered from ear mites, fungal bacteria, or aural hematoma. We raised, loved and protected our dogs like our children.

  • @LOKISlog7 There are actual health benefits to neutering, particularly spaying, and it is done to prevent over-population of dogs, again, for THEIR benefit. Do not compare it to cropping and docking which was done for YOUR benefit. And hey, I've never known an UNcropped/docked dobe to have a broken tail or any of the issues listed either. I mean, keep bullshitting yourself that its for the dog's benefit if it makes you feel better, but its kinda pathetic.

  • @Oreztar The over-population theory is done for HUMAN benefit. So WE don't have to deal with the ramifications. Tail injuries can put your dog in a lot of pain. Because the tail has a strong blood flow, lacerations and bites can bleed profusely. A broken tail could be crooked, and if not set, may heal that way. A break near the base of the tail could result in permanent incontinence, permanent sagging of the tail, or both. Tail injuries are very common to ALL breeds.

  • @LOKISlog7 Clearly, you've never had to euthanise a dog because no homes are available. If you had, perhaps you'd realise how ridiculous you sound. Pet over-population is a HUGE problem, and yes, for the ANIMALS. Talk to me, I've worked in vet nursing, I've had to kill the ones no-one wants >:/ Also, if you don't believe neutering is for an animals benefit, look up pyometra. Cropping and docking has already been banned in many countries, and it WILL be banned in the USA soon. Thank god.

  • @Oreztar My last reply to you on this subject. In regards to your last sentence. "I wouldn't bet my vet-assistant diploma on it"

As long as their are loving, caring, responsible K9 owners left out in the world; with the best interests of their animals in mind; Cropping and Docking WILL CONTINUE! It's a good thing that there are many senators in the oval office who own Dobermans and belong to Doberman Clubs. These lobbyists know enough to do the right thing when it comes to this issue.

  • Respond to this video... As for what is pathetic? It's the PETA warrior trolls who have far too much time on their hands, and clearly a far too oversized nose to stick in the business of loving, caring, responsible K9 owners who have the best interests of their dogs in mind. Regardless of what you and your brethren believe or preach; Cropping and Docking has been around long before you were here to voice your displeasure; and will be long after we are gone. Thank goodness.....

  • He could not care less about that ball. He loves his friends more!

  • What is this beautiful piece of music? I recognize it but can't figure it out.

  • adorable:)

  • what song is this?

  • Such a cute doggie. Thumbs up! :)

  • so cute I'm in love with you Doberman

  • why do people dock the rottweiler and doberman tails?

  • @jpmetroidkiller96 ever seen the nubs at full speed?(you'll know why then)

  • @midnight1262 oh of course! before the scissors was invented all doberman's died as puppies. god put a tail on them just so that it could be cut off.

  • look at him skipping around in the backyard...so cute!

  • OMG that picture with the teddy bear is to die for!

    So freaken cute.

  • awwww, reminds me of my dobbie too! he has a fawn coat and the prettiest eyes....has your dobbie stalked anything/body yet? i think it is sooooo cool when they do that

  • *sigh* nothing beat a puppy!!!

    Dobes are the best!!!

  • Did you eat it?

  • Dobies are wonderful family pets....enjoy every moment with him!

  • cute!!i want to be an owner TOO!!

  • Aww he reminds me of my dobie when he was a puppy...

  • Can i have him? i dont care if hes not 8 weeks old anymore!

  • He kinda looks like a chocolate lab, but he's so cute. I wish I still had a dog :P

  • lookingg for a femalee doberman too matee, msgg mee if youur interested (:

  • what a cute puppy and i am impressed with how gentle and sweet your kids are with him!

  • dawwww i want him D: GIMME! he is cute

  • The reds are beautiful arent they! Check out my channel for vids of my little red girl kimber

  • he is soo cute why some dobermans have the ears up and some have them drop

  • @FishyRyder the ones that stand are "cropped", or altered by cutting the ear flap, and training it to stand as the incision heals. It's a banned practice in some countries, and really a matter of preference. I've had three that were cropped, and two natural. Does it hurt? Yeah, probably. But I don't think men remeber being circumcised.

  • Aww he looks like my dog Karma when she was that young, love them

  • *-*

  • excelente!!! hermoso cachorro!!! saludos!!!!

  • he is only..................THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD (besides a foal (baby horse) he looks like my brothers lab puppy) he so cute (yours not my brothers) =)

  • OMG I'm melting, soo cute!

  • cut his ears, that would make him perfect

  • did you crop its ears??? cuz i see that you did trim its tail, but thats good because dobe tails can be damaged when they wiggle em around and hit the ground alot....i love dobes with cropped ears and trimmed tails, makes em look tighter inn my eyes

  • Reminds me of my Dobie at that age.

  • He is so gorgeous !!!!

  • Lovely!

  • even at such a young age you can see how much he loves his people

  • I love your little red dobe. So precious! I will have to check out any other videos you might have of Harvey! Sorry for all the other comments I left; just had to respond to the person who said pits and rotties should be banned.

  • she is beautiful like my doberman =)

  • Gorgeous little pup, must've made a big lad by now! Just looking inot getting another Doberman, I had one as a kid and found them one of the most intelligent breeds.

What is the music by the way?

  • He is beautiful :o)

  • The video is great - LOVE the music! What piece is that? anyone know? Also...

What the heck is wrong with people posting vulgar language on a video of a PUPPY that will likely be viewed by CHILDREN?!?!

Is it too much to ask that we respect each others differing opinions? Holy moly!

  • GunnerGaz23 is a bloody moron

  • now lets stop swearing in front of harvey

  • What? They banned the doberman somewhere? But they are such great dogs. I understand banning pitbulls or rotwielers, but why dobermans? They only attack if they are trained to OR if someone messes with them. Pitbulls will attack for no reason.

  • Comment removed

  • Really, no dog should be banned. I have a pit & a dobe. Both are gentle & have a "good-citizen's" title. I grew up with rotties & daschunds. Got bit by the daschunds but never by the rot.

  • Rather than banning, something such as special permit to own dogs that can be a danger if not brought up in the right hands, & strict obedience & manners training yearly for people who own such dogs. I would hate to be checked all the time cuz I own one, but at the same time, if it meant keeping them from being banned, I as many other "responsible" owners would agree to it hands down.

  • Actually, pitbulls were bred originaly to be gentle to humans and only aggressive with other dogs; but as we have all seen, there are a lot of jerks out there that decided to use the breed against people. Now imagine if those same type of people decided to use the doberman which was bred to be used against people while collecting taxes in Germany. No dog breed should be banned, but some people should be banned from owning any type of dog. Even a Pomeranian killed a 3 yr old boy a few yrs ago!

  • Great Music Selection. Love the part when you call his out the door. " Good Boy....YEEEAHHH" lol

  • so sweet X3

  • cute little pup

  • it needs to be done you fukin twat it dont get cut off for no reason fukin idiot

  • @GunnerGaz23 yes of course, you're right. before mankind invented the scissors dobermanns all died as young puppies because they had no one to dismember them. you fucking idiot

  • listen dick head you obviously dont understand the concept of it coz your stupid little brain cant register it but if it keeps its tail it ends up braking it when its wagging there for lots of trips to the vet and in the end it gets cut off anyway so come bak and see me when you actually know a thing or 2 about dogs you fukin failed abortion

  • @GunnerGaz23 you're such a nice person caring for the dog like that. its weird tho that its banned in pretty much all civilized countries. but you probably know more than the combined expertise of most countries in europe. its legal in sri lanka, russia, kuwait, india and egypt. those countries also torture prisoners etc, are you from one of them?

  • your such a retard huh, youv jus completely disregarded the fact that inevitably the dog will end up with its tail amputated but hey if you wold prefer the dog to break its tail constantly when it hits off things when its excited thats your choice retard. iv said enough to you im right your wrong go back to green peace you stupid little boy

  • @GunnerGaz23 "it need to be done", yeah right you stupid fuckhead, stop writing, you suck

  • yeah thought thats all youd have to say you fukin retard iv got facts wot do you have apart from an opinion you fukin failed abortion

  • @johnkorner Dobermans have their tails docked at 2 days old so unless you contact the breeder before the dog is even born and don't chose it you really don't have much choice in the matter.

  • gorgeous little boy

  • A beautiful Doberman.(:

    so sweet:*_*

  • Magnifique Dobermann <3

  • sOOper DooBErmAn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thankyou everyone for your kind words, Harvey is now coming up to 2 1/2 years old. He is simply beautiful, a real top friend and guard dog, however a little bit of a hand full from time to time. He has his faults and we love them all.....

  • very sweet puppy

  • we used to have a brown and rust doby just like that. so mischievous and so lovable.

  • i have 4 dobermans the mummy a daddy and the brother and sister we hav 2 of de puppies because the mummy had 9xxxxx

    cute harvy

  • Leave the ears and don't cropp them! It looks terrible! I think it's illegal in the UK anyways. Oh, and by the way, well done for spelling Dobermann correctly!

  • croping is baned in europe

  • Very cute. Hope you leave the ears intact.

  • simply adorable :)

  • cute! may i know wats d title of the instrumental music? thanks :=)

  • very cute pup, but he is brown not chocolate Dobes dont come in Chocolate!

  • actually, it's still considered 'red'.

  • Acutally if you go to the Kennel Club website you'll find ............................... Colour

Definite black, brown, blue or fawn (Isabella) only, with rust red markings. Markings to be sharply defined, appearing above each eye, on muzzle, throat and forechest, on all legs and feet and below tail. White markings of any kind highly undesirable.

The 'Red' hails from America, that says a lot really as they cant spell it properly either!

  • your dog is simply stunning absolutely lovely healthy looking dog, and his eyes lol are just sooooo cute i can tell he will have a good home living with you and your family :)

  • Ive just got my chocolate puppy dobbie and I can agree. He's the same age as Harvey was in this vid. the name chaos is appropriate but I call our Kane paws!!!

  • lovely eyes!

  • Harvey is soo cute..

@ 1:00...I think he loves shoes;-)

  • Don't kupier him. :(

  • soooooooooooooo cute

  • He's adorable ;-). Love him a long time.

  • That is a very big red for being only 8 weeks old. Good looking pupper.

  • OMG, sooo cute !!!!

I love this puppy very much !!

    Thanks for posted it.

    Greetings from Belgium. ))

  • He Looks EXACTLY like my Zeke, but my Zekes ears are in little bandages, he got his Ears cropped.. lol

  • Lol cool! Can i just ask since im interested in getting a doberman does ear cropping ever come naturally? Or does it HAVE to be done surgically?

  • It's gotta be surgically, but it's overnight and they are asleep, and it's about a week with the popsicle stick things in before they come out and after that they're beautiful, im completely happy with my dog. lol..

  • Thanks :) I love the cropped & docked look i really cant see why some people are so against it if its done in a correct manner to not really cause the dog suffering especially since this is done when theyre puppies so they havnt really developed yet. Thanks for the info anyway!

  • They have to be cut.

  • He's BEAUTIFUL!

  • AW SO CUTE! btw what song did you use in this video?

  • Please insure that you monitor his heart as he gets older. I lost "The King" to heart enlargement, it was the final check by the vet...it was too late. King passed away in mr arms on 16 nov 08, he was the best dog I have ever owned. It has been Hell ever since. Dobermann"s Rule!!

  • "the ears are docked because they are sometimes prone to infection"

    -It's not true.

  • it could be, i guess since the bigger ears keep more dampness in the ear lobes, the pores get fill, just like pimples. But dobes look x10 better with natural ears...

  • To prevent infections, people are supposed to clean any ears with any material like a small towel (about 10x10) (not cotton swabs!!!) and oils.

  • We have an 11-week-old Dobie puppy. Came with cut tail already, ears were supposed to be waiting for us and at the very last minute we decided not to cut as we feel so sorry for him. Such a cutie one on the video!

  • What a cute and lovely Dobie! I must say though I'm getting really irritated when these morons comment about how barbaric it is to get the Dobes' tails docked and/or ears cropped. If you think the dog looks cuter without docking and cropping fine. However don't go on a tirade about something you know nothing about by claiming its inhumane.

  • In Europe it became against the law to dock dogs tails and ears. Also they never did cut the dew off, it's very unnecessary.

  • aww. Nice job with the vid!

  • you embicile dobermanns have historically been docked both tail and ear wise for health reasons like infections aswell as because it keeps them alert

  • i know they used to have there tail docked but there is no point of it. and there ears looks STUPID when there docked.

i have a dobermann my self and he is much cuter than every doberman cuz he dose not have his tail/ears docked.

  • no dobt they look cute but the ears are docked because they are sometimes prone to infection and because it keeps the dog alert, i dont know why the tail is docked but in my opinion it suits dobes and rottweilers, no other breeds

  • Tails are docked because the breed is prone to tail fractures due to the fact they tend to grow long and relatively thin.

  • He looks like he misses his mom :(

  • Da wird ein Dobermann sehr geliebt. Sonst würde nicht so ein Süsser Film entstehen

  • omg so cute! i have a black doberman and hes really the greatest dog ever.... it makes me sad watching this video because my dog is getting old :-( and his hips arent doing to well

  • that dog is soooo freakin cute ur so lucky

  • this dog is the cutest doberman i have ever seen! He is a real beaut and i like his name ( it suits him). I quite like the music. i am putting this vid on my faves

  • why is there always piano music? this isnt a child! and its a disgusting world! however i have a huge passion for doberman as i have 1 myself... but i'd really prefer more tempo instead of childs music play on piano...

  • I like the music, I have one. It's nice for somone to show off their sweeter side for once!

  • that'll be accordion for me

  • how lovely!

  • very cute dog!

  • they are also one of the most loyal dogs ever!

  • too cute

  • Any dog should be home alone MAX 8hours a day, and then you need to ahve the energy to stay with your dog the rest of the day (Let him/her/ stay with you) and have time for a good long walk (Puppys should not be overly excercised as this may ruin their bone structure). Then you would have to give it a good long walk in the morning, one when you get home and one before you go to bed. continued:

  • Was thinking of getting a dobe pup but I'm away at work 8 hours a day, As long as I gave him lots of attention and long walks when I got home would he develop OK with no behavioral problems or would this be cruel on my part ?

  • Oh my god you have the exact same problem as me. Please someone answer.

  • (continued)Also, when getting a puppy. Make sure you are home from work the first 3 weeks (can be two but 3 pref) with him/her, so that it feels safe in it's new envoirment. If your gonna have it sleeping in another room of your house, it's pref you sleep next to him/her on a matrass and then as nights go by slowly move the mattras more towards your own room every night.

PS: Lovely dobe in the vid. I don't know why, but I really like them in choclate colours!

  • This process actually may increase the dog's separation anxiety when you actually have to go to work. If you can, come home during lunch or during the day so the dog is only staying by itself a few hours. And exercise it when you are with it.

    Also, the dog is a red Dobe...not a chocolate..sorry, I'm being particular

  • I also have this problem, Im a med student, basically spending half of my day studying!

But the point of getting a dobe is that, i feel lonely when im studying, And I am sure I will have time like nyepski...doing all these walking and stuffs.

Im just afraid that i will not be able to take care my dobe pup when im off for school!

  • Omg I love him.

  • hey i have a doberman puppy only 13 weeks old, he is a little annooying at times, he likes to play but i dont know what to play with him also he doesnt sleep at night always barking when door is shut. could i get some help? thnks

  • he wants to be part of the pack. packs sleep together so he feels excluded. Try putting his crate near your bed and put a t-shirt of yours inside.

  • hahaha it was so cute how he was more interested in your feet than the ball

  • Ahhhhh! Mine has grown sooo fast! x

  • Oh gosh i remember when my little guy was that small, wow he is 8 months old now, how time flies, what a lovley little brown boy you have there, is he just gonna be a pet or are you planning to show him?

  • Would love to show him, but I think he is too happy being a pet. Oh, and a very good guard dog, even birds cant come near the garden. Thankyou for the comments, he is even more of a beauty now hes gettin older, 18 mnths now and very clingy like velcro....

  • i luv the 1 at 1:44

  • i had a tanned dobermann which looked just like that as a pup but unfortunaltly he died a couple of days before my birthday :(

  • very nice, shows the softer side of them, even though he was only 8 weeks, you should put up a video of em now!

  • I just want to squeeze his little cheeks and give him kisses! He's adorable!!!

  • so how old is he now?

  • Thanx for comments. Little Harvey is now very big Harvey, he is 16 months this week and as beautiful as ever...

  • how precious!

  • NOW FORGET MY STUPIDITY WHAT I MEAN TO SAY WAS your dog is big NOW isn't him/her lol

  • lol I make the same typos all the time!

  • YOUR DOG IS BIG KNOW ISN'T HIM/HER LOL

  • What a sweet dog!

  • what I say:susukoira

  • my dobermann is black and tan hes called kaiser hes the best dog ever!

  • we was going to get a brown one, but then we got another black one like before.. but i dont care what Colour.. ilove my cainy boy x

  • Deltaco78

    why not?

    My Doberman is it too...

  • Lovely dog. The correct term for this color Doberman is 'red' as in 'red & rust' like the black doberman is called 'black & rust' Love him lots, as you obviously do, the Doberman will give it back a hundred times! :)

  • ohhhhhhhh!!!! he is sooooo sweeet!!!!! + good music.... 5 stars!

  • He's a lovely red puppy. Wish I had immortalized mine on film that way. Great video. I enjoyed it!

  • He's cute.

Deltaco78: would you relax? k thx bai

  • It's hard to find dobermans who's tails are still intact. Most breeders cut their tails off before they are even 3 days old. So the fact that the tail is docked is usually not the owners doing. Do some research before spewing out unnecessary crap.

  • in germany... every Dobe has his tail and his ears!! It is forbidden to cut them off!! IN germany...

  • I thought that it is mandatory to cut the tail as it is a continuation of their spinal cord; to prevent injury.

  • Well, how would you feel if someone cut off part of your spinal cord?

Any civilized country bans such animal abuse as docking and cat declawing. This includes most European countries.

  • Its weird because i went to a couple of different Doberman breeders in Ontario, Canada, and they all had cropped tails. They would actually refuse to sell me a pup without a cropped tail.

  • it is usually because they croope the tail within the firs days of the puppy's being born and is you decide to crop the tail later it will hurt the animal a lot plus you will be paying like if your dog had surgery a lot because of the anesthesia etc. Why do you want their tails natural maybe i could help finding some puppy's with tails!

  • I actually love Dobes with cropped tails!

Cropped ears? Don't matter! They are the coolest breed in the world!

  • right you are!

i am amazed at my dobe Bank every single how smart he is!

    so do you have 1?

  • He passed on a couple of years ago, and i doubt that i will get one anytime soon.

You always have expectations of the "original" dog you had... so i am going to wait a long while before getting another one!
