he then didn't like ringo but they refused to ask him to go

and so people at first didn't like ringo and wanted pete back

@krabou Actually George Martin DID like Ringo enough to choose Ringo's version of Love Me Do for the first UK single. Apparently that tape got lost because American's only heard the session drummer's version. They had to find a mint condition 45 record and re-master the song from that when they put Anthology together. There's hardly any difference between the two takes except for the tambourine.
