Atleast KAIT uses their "own" live real time radar. unfortunately most stations use NEXRAD level 2 radar from the National Weather Service and markets it as they're own "real time" radar. It is good to take data from NEXRAD at all the levels and through it in 3D mode and look for bounded weak echo areas.
Love that warning beep thing....awesome... WTOL TV (also a Raycom Station) used the same thing.
