the ambulances in lanzarote sound the same, when i first heard it, it took me awhile to work out what it was

tihs is good sirens if you compare to those we got in Sweden here you cant hear them until they are about 50-70m away

Really? I live close to Florence's hospital... it's true you can hear the sirens from faaar distance!

In Finland there is two mode. The day mode you can hear behind the kilometer even in Helsinki. Its maybe the loudest in the world. The night mode is used just from the midnight untill start of morning rush 5am. Its little louder than swedish mode.

@Heavnick7 the problem are not that are ridicolous, the problem are that it can't be heared clear, so if you are on run you risk accidents...

@Lorenzo7990 Well no doubt they are always sirens! First priority is to clear streets ahead. I do live in Rimini and they sound good to me. It's not difficult to recognize them, even if you're in the middle of rush hour traffic... You livin in Italy too?

Ingegneria Energetica, ho un forte interesse per l'ambiente e tutto ciò che è considerato "verde". Adoro l'inglese che in questi anni ho perfezionato qui in Italia, con l'aiuto di scuole private, conversazioni online con americani, film in lingua originale ecc. E adoro New York!

Conto di sfruttare il programma Overseas (una sorta di Erasmus per l'America) per poter sfuggire alla morsa di questo paese e approdare là!

I remember the siren of the Italian police cars were the same as the American in 1950's. I think that sounds better than this... Good old days!

Nowdays in Italy you can hear that some new ambulances have the American siren!

It's not been restored!!But most of the Paramedics use it expecially in traffic jam!! most the company build the Ambulances with the two siren type!!!Since few year in Europe there is a low that says that all ambulances have to have the same siren so when someone from Germany drives in Italy he knows that is coming an ambulance!But this will take lots of years before will be everywhere the same!Anyway I hate the Italian ambulance siren!!
