sadly it wont work with a iphone 3gs defender case. the charger plug in does not fit with a defender case either.

I was bummed, but my wife is using it with her 3gs that has a smaller case and likes it really well.

Just received the Flex-Pod and almost everything works great except I can't be heard when making a handsfree call.

I can hear the caller, but they can't hear me. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or it's defective.

Well after nearly a month using it I'm almost satisfied with it. The sound is SOMETIMES not clear (especially when you just turn on the music, after a while it gets clearer), overall it's good to me. But one thing you have to think is that you cannot move the phone into landscape. I rate this mount 8/10 :D.

I wouldn't say it is the same as a direct connect. but the sound quality us pretty darn good. Best thing about it , is you can talk hands free also

I was wondering if the dock will hold my iphone 3g with a case attached? Such as the Mophie juice pack or will I have to take it off every time? Will the docks jaws open up that wide? And if so will the extra weigh not drag down the flex pod? But this things looks like its great! The only thing thats holding me back right now are my cases question.

The dock opens up wide enough to hold the iphone in its case and it is strong enough as well. It is strong and sounds great through car speakers
