  • this is an albanian dance, dancing albanian came, shame on u all,

  • @TimTirana po altin meta

  • @TimTirana po bardhen kom pas kujdestare ka qen rob zoti

  • @TimTirana ti je me moshe me vllain tim sajmirin ka qene me blendin me i klase dhe shpiat njit i kemi hajt shnet hhahahaahahah

  • @TimTirana ska problem mer plak un ke brryli e kom shpine ke 23 nentori e kom bo shkollen

  • @TimTirana lol i think you answer the wrong person ?????

  • You are all a bunch of thick headed fucks. What you retards who are claiming this is albanian dont know is that Greece was under ottoman control for 400 fucking years! Things are bound to be shared borrowed and manipulated to a different style As many open minded people would know, Turks and Greeks have alot in common You have to understand the history of the greeks before you start claiming this is Albanian. Greek is one of the oldest languages around. If anything YOU stole from us!

  • still looks best when albanians dance it ..

  • brouklakia?

  • what a fuck ?! Its not greek itc tchams dance... Its Albanians...

  • @milanistidoc nice joke

  • Njeri i paska getat e shpuara , do ket qene duke u qire ne bithe , ore sjeni per kete valle ju ore , RROFTE CAMERIA

  • @ariesmp, those are called "greek dancing costumes" its a tradition to wear them.

plus they aren't jumping around like monkeys, they are ACTUALLY dancing.

if you did that, you'd get laughed at, but these guys, are REAL men. Stop hatin.

  • it,s funny how greeks claim the dance as theirs ??? i mean the dance istself is called tsamiko (cham)

  • @alti73 it is simple ... a country like yours, cant give civilization to a country with 5000 years of civilization... you just receive things ...not give.. and of course your country is foul of greek cities, that you have take them.. appolonia, argurokastro, agioi saranta, and many more... so you just steal and not give

  • @grculturefun first at all what exactly is connection between ancient greek and modern one???? most of moderrn greeks came from asia minor with exchange of population the rest are vallachian slavs and arvanite ... as for we steeling is other way around that dress which u proudly claim as greek is an albanian dress so go read book or two then tell me about ur 5000 year civilisation....

  • @alti73 you albanias dont know history! read study and then tell me again that i am not ancient greek... fustanella is the cloth of ancient hoplites as homer says... arvanites are greeks of course... albanias are what? old year shepherd who came to balkans.. fuck of .. i am really boring to answer u again

  • @grculturefun hahahahaha arvanites are greeks hahahahahahah im even bother to answer that watch here ......Alvanoi - Arvanites - Shqipetar - fustanella (Skai new documentary 1821)albanian subs

  • @alti73 this teacher who is in skai, is an athnelinistic personality... thats why he is the only one who speak for albanian arvanites... there is not anyone more profesor who believes that

  • @grculturefun is not only that teacher in skai we have so many historians and writers including lord byron discribed fustanella as an exlusive albanian dress according to finley faustanella become greek nationl costume around midle of 18 century

  • @alti73 historically, homer refairs to myrmidons wearing fustanella, or hlamida. when someone speaks for albania in this age, means albanian territory, but not like a tribe.. albanians where no tribe... they use word albania as a territory and not like a country. albanian territory was something like thesaliam or macedonia, including greek population, even from byzantium empire... dont read history with paragraphs and keep your thought about a word albania.. read whole history to make opinion

  • @grculturefun i dont get your point i think i was very clear in my reply to be4 greek revolution fustanella was was only used by albanian speaking people is as simple as that

  • I've watched this like10+ times. This simply never gets old.

  • The Greeks have NOT stolen this from the Albanians... that's why they feel it belongs to them.

But they have stolen their "Greek" language and have made it their own. Just to get respect from the Western world regarding a "glorious" ancestry... While they are just Albanians.

As they say: "A Greek is only an Albanian with low morals".

  • SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • xa0x0a0x0a0xax0ax0a0x0ax0a0

    xDDD

    bravo bravoo....

  • Oh, common! What the hell are they doing? Those costumes need some respect. Stop jumping around like circus monkeys. It's a warriors dress for god's sake! I am disgusted.

Check out the video responses. That is how it is done. Like real men.

And the idiot who screams aaaaaaa giasu pedia, elaaaaa....so gay. What does he think he is doing? Showing us the dancers asses. Typical greek..

  • I'm sorry but this dance will never be Albanian. No one even knows who u guys are. Give it up!!! Losers it's Greek. ZHTO H ELLAS!!!!

  • GEIA SOU PEDEIA!!!!!!

  • Dear Tsamiko lovers,

A person who study culture and folklore, know more than ever than The Culture isnt a race, isnt an ethnicity. Here in subject "Tsamiko", i think is related with Tsams originally, later it was diffused in the Greek folklore, as the tsams in ottoman times, where the lords of the lands., as they where muslims. Modern studies of cultures dont accept the term "steal" to define the origin of cultural elements. Greeks and Albanians since antiquity where neighbors, and shared much.

  • BRAVO, i LIKE the Albanian Dance, Costume and Music :D

    Krenar Shqiptar!

  • PROUD TE BE ALBANIAN!! :D

Look how the Greeks copy our Culture :D

Thej say himself "tsamikos" :D lol only Albanians are Tsamikos-Cameria ;)

  • now, afgter seeing the ffirst video I am left wondering who is the original one! as in the who invented this dance or who had it first the albanians or the greeks?

i bet u cant deny the similarities!

or maybe it doesnt really matter!

  • u mean in the books or in there? like it maters, its all good fun and they can dance really well!

  • the greeks now dance a lot, good for them..hahaha

  • There are Arvantikans with names like Zymantakis who dance like and are Elenofile. I see no problem with this because the music has been transmitted thru the different communities of Epirus.

  • The greeks says also that they are 700000 years old, sucker , you go and do some readings....

  • @Villiotis Really? Authentic greek? Then why don't you call it thesprotika instead of tsamiko? I think you need to learn your history. I am tsam (cham), i am Albanian. End of story.

By the way. They dance like gays.

    ΠΟΥ ΞΕΣΗΚΩΝΟΥΝ ΤΑ ΠΛΗΘΗ

    ΚΙ ΟΧΙ ΓΙΑ ..ΖΟΓΚΛΕΡ

  • First of all , I would like to agree with Arkadakis (that made a comment 2 years ago) an intro to dipato on a tsamiko, doesn't mix. The proto horeftis is totally off on his steps and off beat. If you guys are Levidiotes representing in the Greece, the US or Canada (you just killed the whole essence of the word "paradosi". It's the worst tsamiko i ever seen.

  • There's a Finnish breed of dog I thought looks handsome. Some good Finnish weightlifters. And the determined Captain Eric Finlander (Richard Widmark) from the 1965 classic "The Bedford Incident." Women in ancient China wore trousers, so did Eskimo women, and when in 868 AD the Bulgarians asked the Pope if they could wear trousers and be Christians, he said "yes." "Pants" comes from Pantalone, the top clown in the medieval Italian Comedy of the Arts. Apollo Dancers, don't take off the skirts

  • Heh, skirts ottaa tämän homman ihan tosissaan...nauretaanpa vähän! Koirarotu lienee Suomen pystykorva, tuskin Karjalan karhukoira. Onkohan kukaan kuullut tuosta kapteenista, joka on ainakin minulle täysin tuntematon...Ja voihan nuo etelämaalaiset äijät pitää hameensa, suomalaiselle miehelle se ei oikein osu ;)

  • The Finnish guy has a limited world view. He comes from a colder climate where people naturally wore pants. FYI the Roman legions wore skirts and woe be to any Finn who would have placed any (?) question mark by their statement of masculinity.

  • Ok, you can wear a skirt, if you feel more comfortable in it...

  • Considering some of the Albanian vs Greek and Greek vs Albanian hostilities stated in this thread, a civil remark is refreshing. As for skirts, have you not noticed that as they are garments not having a "crotch" they naturally allow men more space than women? It is men not women who need the extra space! Trousers are primarily a horseback riding costume and never existed because men need them to be men.

  • Yeah, I live in a place with colder climate. In a place were women naturally wear skirts and men naturally wear pants, in winter time also.

Olettekos koskaan kuulleet hameväestä puhuttaessa, jotta niillä tarkoitettaisiinkin ihan miehiä? Ei ihan heti tule mieleen...

  • Watching rather turkish belly dance with women, than this dance with men(?) wearing skirts...well, the music is similar to turkish.

  • oraio to paidi skizi!!

  • 26268-12408

  • lol the name is camiko how the f... is that greek

  • Sure it's greek, why not?? And it's not camiko it's Tsamiko.. South Albania once was part of greece and thats why Albanians think, after we lost this Area to you mummies, that the culture you adopted is albanian...sorry guys.

It's really sad to see that there is really no albanian culture and the only thing what you guys do is to searching for an identity, although you should know that the real albanian culture got lost after you became turks best friend after 1300 a.Chr.

  • I agree and underline your words Neoptolemos !

  • Further more than Neoptolemos replied, would you get us some Albanian Tsamiko to see how you dance it nowdays ??????

As for foustanela, I do not think that this is your traditional dressing ....I just remind you that you followed ottomans way of dressing for centuries, while Efzones' Dress comes from the depths of Greek Antiquety.

So go back to the Albanian mountains and fuck some goats before come here to claim our tradition as yours!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @koutiki

    Great comment!!!

  • it is cam dance you dumb fuck.look at the name look camiko.and there are plenty just search it in youtube.

fustanella comes from greek antiquity???? hahaha

yes that is why it is only in 1821 that it comes up in greek history aperrently and worn by whom???? arberors-arbanites.so much for greek antiquity.while we wore it from northern illyria to the south.

so now i shall go to your sister and fuck her i dont like goats but am sure you enjoy the male goat you faggot.

  • it is not camiko you dirty asshole albanian, it is TSAMIKOS.

1821 WAS THE DATE THAT WE BEGAN TO FUCK YOU AND AS IT IS OBVIOUS THAT YOU WANT MORE.

Would you tell us a link to see how you dance it....apparently not.

It seems you know limited things about Hellic History and of course you remember only the days that the pain in your ass was hard...what is the issue here... nostalgy maybe?

  • Abot Arvanites ...you can try to tell them that you consider them as Alabanians...it would be a good enough reason for them to rip your asses in pieces.

Well, about your willing to fuck my sister. (hahahahahahahahahaha) let me inform you that she is fucking with men only and not albanoids.

For the present time just try to wipe your sister from bordels of Athens.

  • first of you faggot ass it is camiko.and a link i told you but aperently you were thinking of dick licking styles.so let me say it again just search camiko motherfucker.and greeks fuck?? i thought they just ran ass first into dicks and they go to crete and dance about it with balerina costumes??? are you saying i heard wrong??hahahahahaha

    homo

  • what's the name of the music?

  • please guys quit the complaining. look who really cares who came up with it first? either way its cultural diffusion and its affected every civilization, so we can all say that we've "stolen" others ideas and had ours stolen. just appreciate the dance.

  • opa, kai i trypoula sto kaltsoni????

  • Luka you are an idiot. Alexander never used the term

Albanian...... It is Ipiros. Northern Greece!! they just taught you another language. Beria Stalin etc.

  • Whot is this for a shit this dosent are Grecce dance and Costume. This is Albanian Kulture

  • and then you suddenly saw the rest of the world...and the thing were not like Hotza told you....you are not the greatest nation in Europe ... you are not the richest...you are not the oldest...it is hard for you I can see it...but this is the truth

  • you can see which nation is greater, you greeks steals our culture and sold as a greek Culture. my Karamans, you only a Asiats who will be an Eurpian

  • hahahaha you are a A JOKE....I am loosing my time here with you...come on admite the truth

....it is envy that is your mind full of

  • Hey, sorry but it seems like you are really dump and just trying to provoke. Greece IS the oldest european nation, but not only this, it's the BEGINNING OF ALL EUROPEAN thinking. Go back to Albania where you can eat cokroaches.

  • greese is begining of your mothers whorish ways.

  • Neoptolemos απευθύνεσε σε εμένα (Koutiki) ???

  • ua qifsha ato motrat mu ne pith as per te imituar nuk dini

  • balkancoolhead, Greek proto-nationalism has been evident since the 11th century. To say there is no such thing as a Greek ethnicity is incorrect not least because of the existence of a Greek language, but also a continual Greek historical consciousness since antiquity. It took a more modern and familiar form in the 11th century.

  • PEACE GUYS ENJOY THE TSAMIKO.!!!

  • Absolutely f**king awesome!!

  • thank you to Albanians finally, from Greece. we are now ready to recognize the great contributions of the Arvanites and to recognize that without Ali Pasha carving out a space of autonomy from the Ottomans and above all, withou the great warrior Souliote Albanians, we would not have achieved independence from the Turks until much later.

    yasso Arvanita! yasso Bouboulina, Bocari!

  • finally , one greek that is using the brain about the truth! well..is good to be in the Truth.... the truth will set you FREE ! God bless you!

  • u again???GOD!!! I SAID...GET A LIFE!!!

  • i think the same could be said of you! why do you single me out?

  • balkancoolhead isn't even greek... What right do you have to speak on our behalf?

    Αγε γαμισου ρε βλακα

  • when you say greek in 2008, exactly what does that really mean?

  • "The object they [[the Greeks]] have in view is the hellenization of Albania. The whole of the southern portion carries its commerce through Janina, and the inhabitants regard this town as their capital. They fraternize easily with the Greeks."

  • "As yet, their aspirations to form a distinct nationality are thought to be weak and ill-defined, so that the Greeks hope with the possession of Janina to amalgamate the two races and gain over to the cause of hellenism the finest and most warlike race in South-Eastern Europe."

The Times (London), January 31, 1879

  • perhaps something closer to this, friend?

  • Appreciate the effort. :)

When I say Greek, I of course mean in an ethnic and cultural way - e.g. same language, norms and values. By this definition, most Greeks in Greece as well as all the Diaspora.

Also both articles you sited are out of date, and both from an imperialist british view point. I'm sure the city you were referring to was Ioannina, and that IS greek.

Lastly, I would point out that your choice of sources reflects war/conflict, not the ethnic uncertainty of Greeks.

  • nice try keighj, there is no ethnic notion of greek, anyone who has studied history knows that. as for the cultural/linguistic identity, that is a more reasonable subject of discussion.

what confuses the journey here is that the modern identity of greece conflates nationalism, religion, language, culture and ethnicity thus creating an impossible marriage, and one that, in addition to being scientifically unsupportable, is also quite racist and out of date by modern standards.

  • Actually I'm doing a major in Greek History, and I'm telling you there is a sense of an ethnic greek people. This is called 'hellenism'. There is most definately a hellenic people, even if they are politically or geographically divided.

I would point out that as a non-Greek, you are not qualified to make judgements on the existence of a greek ethnic identity.

Nationalism, religion, culture, language and ethnicity is a stupid sentence. Nationalism, religion and language are PART of culture.

  • >continued...

Perhaps you should better familiarise yourself with those terms and how they correlate to each other.

Please explain to me, first, how is the combination of nationalism, religion, language, culture and ethnicity an impossible relationship? Second, demonstrate the 'scientific unsupportability' of this environment. Thirdly, what are 'modern standards'? American standards? British standards? Australian standards?

As for the racism, that's present in every society.

  • nice moral relativism argument and shameless greek nationalist bias. your university degree is obviously just a reinforcement of your childhood education at home, and you clearly lack any line of independent thought.

if you wish to take on a challenge in life, allow me to suggest that you choose a group somewhere in the world, that today you consider to be part of an inferior culture, and study them closely until you learn to love them as you love your yourself.

    there you will find truth.

  • My childhood education at home? I've had my whole education, from primary school through to university in Australia, how is that biased?

As for challenges in life, I spent my gap year helping Medecins Sans Frontier in Cameroon, Africa and backpacking Europe/Asia. I know a thing or two about different cultures.

Look, so far your arguements have amounted to nil. You have neither made a consistent point nor properly addressed any I have made. Please stop wasting our time and your own.

  • your agenda is as clear as day, i suggest you apply for an analyst roll with the australian greek lobby. they need all the help they can get.

in the meantime, i suggest you put your msf expeditions on hold until you have developed the requisite compassion, humility and respect required to make a real contribution in this world.

  • u r jokin man, wanna c the original, search valle came and u will c. greetings stavros

  • clearly this is Albanian... as usual, the richest folk traditions in the region are found in their purest forms in Albania, and then watered down in neighboring regions... which is fine, but people should have the dignity and honor to recognize the Albanians for the wonderful folk culture that they have...

  • AXAXAXAXAXA

  • OOOOPAAAAAAAA!!!

  • I would die for tsamiko, yes I will

  • Wow..great job! I really enjoyed watching that...the atmosphere is amazing! :p

  • This is real Tsamiko! Paidia, poly oraia!

  • ok first of all, tsamiko is never danced as a dipatos, thats an entirely different dance. The double level that was done is called dipatos and danced to a song called soussana. (killed tsamiko). the solo needs alot of work, too many of the same jumps, nothing was done on the floor, no foot work!! As an Arkadian, and tsamiko being the dance i love the most, this was one of the worst ive seen.... sorry

  • Thank you for your constructive criticism. Please direct me to a video on the net were I may find a better version.

  • ti oreos jorós! jorébete polí kalá pediá. Great that "piramid" thing, I dance tsamiko too, at a tavern an many others dances. Ya sas! nice video guys.
