Give Nez a break. He has rejoined the guys on various occasions but his business interests keep him too pre-occupied to do any touring. That, plus the fact that he's doesn't have the stamina anymore for this sort of thing. He has supported the guys, wished them well so give Reverend Mike a break.
Hey guys this is me Tiffany and im 15 im an actor, singer, dancer, and model i have never had coaching or training and singing is my number one passion my freinds think im good along with my family so i want to know what you guys think BELIEVE please :D and my channel name is missytifftiff so check it out and commet like subsribe thanks love you guys sooooooo much <3 !!!
I loved this show and actually got to meet Davey Jones in Missouri at a Country Kitchen believe it or not. He was so gracious and sweet. he was my crush of that time. lol. Still is.
If you all like the Monkees, try the Kids from C.A.P.E.R. Some of the same people were behind that show too--particularly Don Kirschner. You will notice striking similarities. The only difference is that it was the 70s, and we have yet to see its one season on DVD. Love both shows!
I loved "The Monkees" tv show when I was a kid. They played marathons of it on Nick at Nite and I would stay up late and try not to laugh too loud at their goofy antics. They'll always hold a special place in my memories.
@Jimmythepin This weekend I was looking up some Monkees videos. I saw a current video of Mike and was beyond shocked! What the hell? He looks *nothing* like he ever did, and in fact looks like a terribly old man. Have you seen him? With the age spots all over his head? I'm not exaggerating. I'm actually disturbed by how bad Nesmith looks now.
I'm a big fan of the Beatles, but they were like the dad who was rarely around or accessible. The Monkees were. You could count on them every week. As kid with few or no friends, The Monkees were like 4 big buddies to me. They were cool, funny, goofy and they sang cool songs. I hardly saw the Beatles. I'd like to have all four of them in front of me so I could thank them personally for their entertainment.
Davy was a jockey for a while (even after The Monkees), which means he`s hit the ground quite a few times, I`m sure. No telling what kind of injuries he had (I know he broke an arm or leg once in an accident). Going by that, he could be worse off. :) Besides, when I saw him here where I live, he did the whole "Daddy`s Song" dance routine! I`d say he`s doing pretty well for his age! :)
@TrekToons I wish I could have seen one of his races in person, or at least that there were more pics (I`ve only found 3). Love cute jockeys, LOL
The show was fantastic, because of the set up of the concert area (outdoors with a stage and one small "golden ticket" area), I was able to get fairly close. :D There`s vids other people have taken from the concert up on here too. ;)
Issued statement reads due to "..irreconciliable differences...We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued support of The Monkees."
i saw them at california adventure park in anaheim in 2002. i was 8 yrs old. it was my first concert ever. i knew every single song. it was incredible.
Daydream Believer is still very catchy. And that Davy Jones must be part immortal because he hasn't aged as much considering it's almost 50 years past their prime.
I seen them live on June 12th at Niagara FallsView Casino/Resort (my papà wanted to take me) At first I was thinking well they're not from my era and I might not like it Even though I did know a few of their songs....
But was I WRONG the concert was not boring....it was AMAZING!! Definitely I would go see them again =)
Watched them in the 60's, raised my kids on them in the 80's, went to the 80's reunion tour in Binghamton, NY, and my grandson (10) loves the TV show here in the 21st century! Three generations in my family alone might be in Albany on September 9th!
A lot of people are mad at Mike for not joining them. They all still get along. What these 3 guys are doing is what's unusual. still touring after 45 years is serious business. Out of all the guys, Mike always enjoyed touring - the Least. He doesn't do solo tours either. And, he never said never, by the way. He just declines certain ones.
I really deeply miss mike, and john lennon and the awsome genertiob of the 60s and 70s. Man, time flies, and we are here today and tomorrow gone! Good tging we can relive these groovy stuff from back then, times I missed for being born in the 90s. Ugh. Lol
babessquid, first of all DICK! I like Mike the best out of the Monkees, he is most talented and a great song writer. He always says he has projects going on which is fine but he can't take a couple months away from his projects to tour with the other guys? How many 45th Anniversaries come along?
@stevenj8810 on the contrary, you're the dick here!
the reason he didnt join them is because he's been really busy latley, he produces movies now, mickey even said in a different interview that mike tells them that he'd love to be with them but he's got alot on his plate right now.. So Chill! :-P
Hey, thanks for uploading this, so I can send it to my music pals. Micky has used another analogy recently, comparing the M's to "Glee". I will be seeing them in concert twice in July, and look forward to seeing my boys! :)

@birdradiolive, Nesmith was the one who got the group back together in 1995 for an album (Justus) and a television special he wrote and directed.

Why hasn't anybody commented on Michael Nesmith? After all, he IS the "stuck up" one who thinks he's too good for The Monkees post-tv show.
I went to The GoodTime Theater at Knott's Berry Farm in 1975 to see what were billed as The Monkees. Turns out it was Davy, Peter, & Boyce & Hart!.
Mickey couldn't make it but Mike,.....he just deserted the group! And that's the truth!
