Just wondering where you shop at and if you recommend any places to shop. Right now im a ameture betta and zebra danio keeper and have been getting my supplies from petsmart. PLS ANSWR
@macmike1000 no live plants won't dirty ur water in fact they seem to clean my water and they last for years I've had mine since I bought them and as they grow and start to branch off I cut the roots and seperate them into smaller plants. I started with about 3 amazon swords and now have about 15 so pretty profitable inca way too.
You've answered your own question. This tank here uses standard 15W incandescent bulbs. They are fine for "low light" plants like the ones I have here, but you may need something stronger depending on what you want to plant.
be careful that the crayfish doesn't tear up your plants...mine did that to my live plants...i just feed it alot to keep it from being so aggressive. still waiting to see your next newest tank!!
great tank. Ive noticed you got a algae eater, I used to have one, his name, Toby. And I loved the little guy, until he passed away a few weeks ago from old age.
hey i usually only keep female bettas on comunity tanks, now i was going to start a 10 gal for a male (and hopfully breed) now, i no females r good with gravle, but i like the look of sand better than gravle, is sand better, or would it not matter, and this would be my first freshwater sand tank (if it ok) so wat kind of cleaners (fish only) could i get, i really love pleco's, but r they ok in sand.... peaz answer me back!!!!
It's best to keep the tank floor bare if you want to breed bettas. There are no special cleaners you need to get for sand, but it's a great idea to rinse it really well before adding it. It's also a good idea to add the sand slowly into a small volume of water, then gradually fill your tank with more water making sure not to disrupt the sand too much. Even if you are careful, it can take a long time for the cloudiness to clear. Preparation and patience is key.
if i where you ill take him out. the bigger he gets the more its gonna happen trust me ive had many bad experiances with crayfish destroying my plants
What are you pros and cons about using sand?

Great looking tank..... You seem to have a crayfish in most of your tanks. He will eventually eat your fish and eat your plants...

What kind of light would you recommend for a ten gallon planted aquarium?
I understand it depends on the type of plants you have.
