  • His accent is awesome!

  • Glaswegian King of France and Mr. Bartlett

  • terry jones has a six pack.

  • @123kasabian He had definitely lost some weight at that time. He was chunky in the seasons 1 through 3.

  • The Golden Age of Ballooneys.

  • "You have come from Paris?"

    "Where?" - Brilliant!!

  • @MultiMudaki Not really.

  • Thumbs up!

  • this joke is extremely offensive and racist

  • @MultiMudaki Not a single bit.

  • Is that what's known as a "Glasgow kiss" when Louis the So-Called King of France man head butts Joseph?

  • "I've been looking it up in my bath!"

  • "and shout: Hey balloons, when zer are non about." Gotta love Carol Cleveland

  • bar-klit, bar-tlit

  • Is Mr. Bartlett related to Michael Ellis?

  • and I would totally watch The Golden Age of Colonic Irrigation.

  • I do personally tie balloons to my ankles in the evenings. And I do duck down and shout out "Hey! Balloons!" when there are none about.

The Cleese-less episodes are unfortunate in many regards. But two of them are excellent. And this is one of them. The other is the Michael Ellis episode. Light Entertainment War ain't bad either.

These are still classic Python, even without John.

  • I swear those three look like the Spanish Inquisition

  • @sondano= Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

  • I can't tell you how many times i've had to turn away visitors because I had the King of France present.

  • I like his two silent goons, posing as dukes.

  • how i love michael palin!!!!

  • what is the man in the background doing at 1:43?

  • @Endrawnia If you look at the beginning of part 1 you'll find out

  • Since this is a "Cleeseless" episode, and you don't actually see Mr. Bartlett. You can safely say John Cleese plays Mr. Bartlett. I don't wanna have to explain my jokes, but i'm afraid no one will "get it".

  • I love it how in most sketches Palin is always chewing gum, regardless of who he is impersonating...

    =}

  • love louis' accent :)

  • "Oh I"m so sorry I didn't realize..."

"It's all right, we've done the difficult bit."

lol I'm glad it wasn't just me seeing that as a bit kinky.

  • All your dogs are named "Balloono"!!

  • I actually named my neighbor's dog Balloono because of this sketch.

  • love how the french king has a brittish accent lmao

  • @Endrawnia Scottish!

  • @PhilipineMan

Glaswegian accent. Trust me. There is a difference by town and region.

  • Scotland is a part of Britain.

  • @PhilipineMan oh im sorry! my bad! i just meant that i found it funny that he was very obviously not french lol

  • louis xiv died in 1715, not 1717

  • the best of monty python...

  • i love palin acting as Louis XVI and so on

  • ''Its errrr very nice to be here''

  • Dont you mean Louis XIV....oh JOSEPH!!! in a towel!!! When did he die again?!

  • Funny how Palin could do the nice guys and the shady characters (like Luigi Fricoti too).

  • Uh... I got most of the jokes, but where did all that stuff about a canal and a railway come from?

  • all part of the wonderful madness that was Monty Python.

  • lmao palin was PERFECT here

  • hhaahha "better things to do than go around remembering your bloody number"

  • is it just me, or is there a scar on the king's face?

  • that man on the right of the king is hilarious! look at his face when he follows the king around.

  • Very GOOd, Very GOOD !!!

  • can somebody tell me, in what accent louis XIV.(or XV.) is talking? i only knew the german synchronisation and there he is talking bavarian.

  • Scottish.

  • He's a plumber, fixing the pipes. What they are for

is not known. Maybe for Joseph's numerous washings.

    Lol.

  • what is that random guy in the corner doing? O.o

  • If you listen carefully, you will hear a man in the audience laughin. out loud. He can also be heard

laughing in the audiences to the "Dirty Hungarian"

sketch and the "Spam" sketch. It must be a

relative of Eric Idle or one of the Pythons.

  • Ahh, the good ol' glaswegian kiss.. ^^

  • Lol
