I think Paul would be happy to take criticism, he seems pretty down to Earth, and if was told "you use sweeping in your solos too much" would probably say "yeah, but now is a pretty big habit to break and so many people can't do it so + for me" or something, idfk. But to say someone who's unknown shouldn't be able to judge their music as generic or overused, when it typically is, (in this case sweep picking) just shows how ignorant you are.

i dont think he does too many sweeps, i can't get enough. the way he puts it all together makes it sound beautiful. now dont get me wrong, im usually a hardcore death metal fan, but i have a soft spot for the melodies that paul and the rest of the band create. and after trying to sweep time and time again and failing, it makes you appreciate the music even more.
