Square Einx please remake it for ps3 already ill buy it the first minute upon coming out (and i usually wait 4-12 months before buying a game so prices will lower) you should feel honored
ff7 and tactics was my favorite, and besides vandal hearts sqaure enix in my opinion was the best in fantasy rpg games all the way up till star ocean. after that so many different groups started making tons of rpgs and i stopped playing rpgs sort of.
@dareangel666 8 was horrible lol, bad story, the junction system was stupid, the gf sequences were to long and drawn out, al the characters were stupid, the draw system was gay, and nothing was memorable besides the music. Just saying.

i don't think the older final fantasy games should be remade. there just fine the way they are. but i think they should make an advent children video game. that'd be really cool. but ff7 is already extremely popular. it doesn't need to be remade

Dont get me wrong this game is great, but they need to release final fantasy VI (6) on the psn store for North America. Final Fantasy 7 cant compare to 6. 6 is a whole new experience it the most darkest final fantasy out there thats not afraid to cross the line. RELEASE IT!!!
It hasn't aged very well in my opinion, I know it's from the PS1 days, but the graphics are just painful to look at. Oh, and using the directional pad instead of analog sticks is taking some getting used to.

@Durusial No offense but I think you're way wrong. This game was released in '98, that's 13 years ago. Taking that into consideration you can't claim that it hasn't aged well. Let's compare it (The graphics, 'cause that's what we're talking about here) with GTA IV which was released 3 years ago..I mean IV looks like a bag of dogshit with high settings on the PC and on both consoles. Now that's a game which has aged poorly. I'm not going to lie, the graphics are terrible but it has aged very well
@lawlid I respectfully disagree. That's like saying that everything from that generation is acceptable by today's standards. Going back, it certainly was back then, and maybe even for the few years that Square didn't try and jack off it's fans with the Compilation of FF VII. Quite honestly this game was a defining piece in my childhood, and with that said, I will not idly pretend it was the crown jewel of perfection (primarily, graphically).

Polygons were the shit 15 years ago. And to be honest, this universe (FF7) is so tremendous, that what it lacks in poor, archaic polygons, it makes up for in sheer confusion, frustration, and satisfaction. Only one who completely understands the universe can completely appreciate this game, for it changed the foundation of RPGs as we know it. Anyone that has beaten this game more than once will tell you it's the best game they've played, hands down.

I heard ff13's storyline is a little disappointing though, but yeah I wanna get all the games and play them. i finished this game with 100% in my 5th run, i spent so god damn many hours playing it when i was a child... i still have the data for the 100% completion data with 3 mithril armors, the 12 gesticulate, 12 counter, and the master materia/command/summon items... got bored of it so damn hard that im not going to download it, even though i love ff7 so much :(
pd: yes, i got all 8 characters to lvl 99 and got all the lv4 limit breaks, including aerith(aeris) greater gospel

Final Fantasy 7 brings back memories of long summer days, and the good ole times. My brother and I would build a fort in a bunkbed and take turns playing. Me and my neighbors would play in their garage, which we all thought was so sick as shit that they had a TV in there. I met my first best friends through playing this game with them.
THAT'S why FFVII is, and will always be, the shit to the first generation of newage gamers.

Play on a standard def tv and you wont have those annoying black boxes.

Hell yeah can't we sign some sort of petition to get this game on a PS3 re-release with killer graphics who's with me I bet that if we get this thing going it could be done maybe if enough people pressured Square Enix they would do it. FF7 is one of the best games of all time but its lacking in the graphics department. So lets not waste anymore time anyone who's up to demanding a remake of FF7 thumbs up lets use the power of the internet so we could make square enix hear what we want to play

If they just revamped this to the point where it was at least on par with PSP graphics, I might just consider actually buying it, even if the gameplay and story remains fundamentally the same. Just change the graphics Square-enix! THEY'RE DATED!! I'm not buying the same game on playstation network in a million years!!!

It's harder than you think to update the graphics on a huge game such as this. It would take a shit ton of work, and I think they'd rather make it a PS3 release if they're gonna put that much work into it.

Well, I say, 'SQUARESOFT (SQUARE)' - SQUARE ENIX is sucks for me. They shouldn't ever fuse! That just ruined whole Squaresoft reputation for me. What the hell is this FF XIII Or X-2? (ok - graphic were amazing, not to the mention they just fckd up whole gameplay and story just sucking balls) Geez.
BEST Final Fantasy games were produced obviously by SQUARESOFT.
Who don't agree? I think some peoples won't, but this one, who grew up on FF VII/VIII will understand me.

Crisis Core and Final Fantasy XIII are some of my favourite games, not only out of the FF franchise but EVER.
Sure Square Enix are a bunch of money hungry whores, but the developers are still there, and there is nothing wrong with them trying something different.

Final Fantasy 7 brings back memories of long summer days, and the good ole times. My brother and I would build a fort in a bunkbed and take turns playing. Me and my neighbors would play in their garage, which we all thought was so sick as shit that they had a TV in there. I met my first best friends through playing this game with them.
THAT'S why FFVII is, and will always be, the shit to the first generation of newage gamers.

First beat FF7 when I was only 7, and I still play it today. :p

@Akago Its actually faster to attack while its tail is up as your limit gauge reaches its limit faster plus you dont need to use potions in this fight if you do it right lol
