I was taught that when working a knit stitch, if you lay the yarn across the needle as demonstrated in the video, then it is called the Eastern Uncrossed method of knitting. I am not an expert so perhaps that is actually the "Eastern" method of knitting.
LOVE this! I just discovered that the 'eastern uncrossed' method is what I've been using for years. And I could never make a brioche stitch work from books!
