  • Hmmm, just after a weekend when McLaren-Mercedes wins again??? That can only mean they have had enough of poor results in 2009 and decided to save face and pack up than to risk more damage to their image as a sporty carmaker. In short, they just could not compete with the likes of Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari. They leave F1 with zero titles under their name after 10 seasons in the pinnacle of motorsport.

    Lots of ideas why. My thought, the new owner V.W. said so. With problems in the sport it does not enhance their elite status. Design or engineering costs for ever evolving F.I.A. rule specifications and lack of podiums thereafter.

    My next thought though is that Formula One cars are too noisy and use too much gas and smelly stink. Go ELECTRIC Formula One Racing. That is the Future. Electric racers were fun too, I remember. Costly noise and stink are not necessary.
