  • Ok. 1.5 years learning to fly? You should try boats or get help, it's safer for everyone. We don't fly in congested spaces, strap heavy items to the plane, fly with binoculars, fly in 40mph winds, or even use duct tape to support the wings. Considering the things I have watched you do, you lack common sense and are a danger to our hobby. I hope you learn to fly correctly and enjoy the hobby, but I will refer trainees to your videos as a fine example of what not to do with an R/C aircraft.

  • The Corsair is a fine plane. When you lack the judgment not to fly in blizzards, gail force winds, damaged aircraft and unsuitable flying areas of course the your going to crash. It is not that the plane is not durable, its your poor judgment

While I am not a big fan of flying clubs I think in your case you should try to find one so they can help you out with this hobby before you hurt someone or damage someone elses property and are looking at a law suit.

  • @murphy19651 Thanks for the good advice. This compilation documents my learning period which I'm beyond now. It may appear like I'm constantly crashing but I filmed every flight for 1.5 years then compiled this video. These days I rarely crash. I stopped filming my flights since I'm beyond the learning period so my flights are pretty boring now. Next year I will begin pushing my limits again on my channel rebelplanes using a new plane from killerplanes with crash-proofing. Subscribe and comment!

  • @murphy19651 Check out video 6ANeGWKYSr8 for my crash compilation. This video is the final days of my Corsair before I dumb-thumbed it into the ground. Not a visually spectacular crash since it lawn-darted into the ground and stuck instead of bounced but the damage was severe putting the final nail into the coffin of my poor abused Corsair which was on its final legs held together with glue and duct tape. My next plane with crash-proofing would have little or no damage from that crash.

  • Why are you giving up on the Corsair, is it because of the way it flys, parts or just board with it. Just curious Good luck with the new plane.

  • @SHADOW10621 The ParkZone F4U Corsair is not as durable as I would like. A hard nose crash will destroy your cowl, propeller, engine and engine mount. The HawkFighter with crash-proofing from killerplanes will survive a hard nose crash with little or no damage. I want to spend more time flying and less time and money repairing and replacing.

  • @patcoston I completely understand, when you get the Hawkfighter post some videos. Hopefully the Hawkfighter is more durable than the Corsair. I'm a little leary of crash proofing just because at 30 mph forces are so great that things seem to explode. Good luck, Shadow

  • How fast can the corsair go?

  • @hamsterwing I suppose if it's flying straight down with a strong tail wind, it can probably hit 100 mph but I think what you're asking is flying level at full throttle with 0 mph wind. The ParkZone F4U Corsair is a lot more powerful than the HobbyZone SuperCub. I should know ... I went thru like 4 of each. The Corsair cannot fly straight up out of your hand but it comes close with a light battery with a full charge. My guess is that the SuperCub top-speed is 30 mph and the Corsair is 50 mph

  • @patcoston thanks man your vids are so cool. Good luck with the hawkfighter I will make a video of the parkzone corsair when I get it.

  • @hamsterwing most RC videos just show a plane flying. I try to be in the video and narrate to make it a little more personal and of course show all of my failures. This brings a lot of criticism but I like to keep it real. The failures are usually the best part. So please make a video of your first flights and be in them and narrate and show your failures (if any). Also be ready with insta-foam glue since the wings like to crack where it bends. If you're like me, you'll need lots of spare props.

  • I got the Parkzone P-51D for my first plane, same size as your corsair. Nice thing about it is you just go full throttle and it will do anything you ask it to.

  • What kind of tricks are you doing with a warbird airframe?

  • I subed :-)

  • There were some nice rolls and inverted flight in there. At full throttle the plane showed good speed. You know the full size Corsair has some great design features, like an oversize engine and 13 foot prop. I bet the Zero pilots hated seeing them. Maybe you'll come back to Corsairs some day. Your videos are fun to watch! Looking forward to the maiden flights of your new plane.

  • I like you man! Good luck with your new plane :-)

  • Nice final flights. I crashed mine pretty hard last time i flew. I reversed some settings on the remote so the tail and rudder are on the right stick and throttle and ailerons on the left. I thought it would make it easier to fly but i crashed it as soon as it went up.
