I first saw these guys open for amon amarth when i was 16 it was my first metal concert, i walked in and they were first to play, ive been a fan ever since
riders of the plaugue is an epic album and they seem really tight live, cant wait for a new album..... its also a shame i live in england cos they rarely come over.
I agree with you guys, IF is definitely awesome, and pioneered some of the shit that The Absence is doing. On the other hand, In Flames' Jester Race is a little dated sounding, especially in the quality of the recording. Riders Of The Plague sounds unbelievable. Almost too good too be true all across the board. I think most any real metal head would agree.
ya there are a lot of bands with great melody. But i think none base their music style on the pure melody sounds like the absence. just my opinion though
i saw them on the metal blade tour, i was amazed by their live prowess(i was aggravating people who wouldn't pit). i read pintavilles blogs on a daily basis, and he sheds some light on why their aren't on tour. it sucks, i want to see them again.
No joke! I ran into these guys at Del Taco tonight in Warren, MI. I was eating with my wife and younger son, I had no idea who they were, never heard of the band. I finally asked the bass player while we were refilling our drinks and he told me to find them on MySpace... it's a small world.
im seeing them open for Amon Amarth live in October along with Ensifurem, and belphegor... im just going for amon amarth xD but im searching these bands see if i like them.... they are pretty doog
fucking gay people not moving why the hell r u there show some respect and stop being pussies god u acted like it was a backstreet concert god good band horrible croud
fuck them......of course there was the opening show at the showcase where insomnium played before scar symmetry..............they cheered insomnium on lol.....still gay that nobody shows respect to the openers

it was because they were opening. and people never give it up for the opener for some unreasonable reason.
now, when people actually show up to see the absence, you know its gonna be fucking sick.
