Bouquet of Roses, originally recorded by Eddy Arnold around 1947-48.
I used to listen to the Opry as a kid and would hear the Glasers do this medley. I would also hear the crowd cheer during certain parts, not knowing they were trading vocals throughout the song. It wasn't until I saw them do the medley on Austin City Limits in the '80s that I realized why the crowd was cheering. They are a great talent.
can any one tell me what the title of the song they sing in there last performance with hank snow ( im sending you a bouquet of roses one for every time you brock my heart) just love that song and dont no title so if any one can help
@weelainy61 Hi weelainy61, The song is an old Marty Robbins hit called "Bouquet of Roses" ...... not sure if anyone else recorded it but I'm only familiar with the Marty version.
This needs to be carried over to the new generations. I'm 42 and grew up on CLASSIC country because it's what my family liked and I wound up loving. From a musician's perspective, this is nothing but pure talent/natural ability. If you came here to see some guys singing through auto tuners...you're in the wrong place.
This is painful, nobody in the known universe can sing harmony as well as these guys. Why can't they just love each other? The antagonism is obvious - Tompall can't stand Jim because Jim's such a better singer. It looks like from watching this they (either of them) don't really give Chuck much a chance, either. Guys - you're all talented, but please, come together. That's what made you. WE LOVE YOU! Do you know that in all the world there is no harmony better than yours?
@southernsong i totally agree, you cant really tell when they switch verses when they sing unless you listen close. Jim always sang High,Chuck was more Bass and Tompall as more in the middle. So called country groups nowdays are a total joke compared to these guys
Great to see Tompall and the boy's at this stage in their career!!! I am 39 years old and discovered their music about four years ago. What a great discovery!!!!
Damn, I have tears in my eyes. I never knew that this "1990 Medley" existed. I had read that their last peformance was at the Hank Snow Tribute but never knew that they sang the same medley as before. Tompall has the same leather coat, they have the same drummer, Jim is still singing over Tompall and Chuck. This is a classic.
They did this for Mr. Snow, who as Tompall said was their idol, and they backed him up beautifully on several of his songs, including "From A Beggar to a King." I watched it live on TV that night and it was special. Thanks for posting this.
The Glaser Brothers are my favorite group of all times. I first heard them in the late 1950's. They first recorded on Marty Robbins label. I think their harmony is the best ever done, and they should have continued together. They had a great career, but it could have been GREAT.
come back tom paul and bros no matches you anymore for harmonys
