@dzang96 Sorry for the late reply, but i thing the name of the restaurant is GoChiSo Zushi. As it says in the beginning of the vid and the narrator also mentions the name.
japan is beautiful. The scenery, the living style the food. Everything just seems so balanced and smooth. This video isn't just about "delicious food". Its about an art prepared by an artist, known as chef.
Although I've come to somewhat understand the so called "California Sushi", it hardly matches sushi as it is prepared and served by an authentic Japanese Sushi Chef as shown here. (By the way, I lived in Japan for nearly 25 years. I learned and know what the real deal is.)
Great video, but it should be a bit like the first 2 japanese cuisine videos, with the english narrator briefly commenting on each finished suhi dish, mentioning what type of fish it was or if there's anything else particular with it :)
This Master Chef has a fabulous and pure technique, Allways the same minimal movements, purely efficients, closed to perfection... like the Tea ceremony. Many thanks for having posted this sequence.
I have never had sushi before lived off food from a packet all my life,so you will forgive my ignorance but is sushi considered a delicacy as from what i could see they all looked rather bitesize.
@guyslade Yeah, normally it's only eaten on special occasions or formal functions. (People DO just randomly decide to eat it for no particular reason though.) The staples of the average Japanese diet are rice, noodles and noodle-based soups, local varieties of fruits and vegetables, and some less expensive varieties of seafood (squid and mackerel are common).
I adore the Japanese culture. The food is amazing as are the people......I've met a lot of lovely Japanese people. Personally I think we can learn a lot from the Japanese.
PS. After watching this video I'm having a huge craving for sushi. Man I'm hungry.
Wow, Japan is amazing. For my Sweet 16, I'm rethinking a huge party. I could visit Japan with my parents and 2 friends. That's starting to sound like a better Sweet 16
i think i'll have all of them!
