  • Still, he hasn't worked a day in his life :)

  • Seems to be connecting a lot better on his backhands here. Any pro weigh in on this?

  • average skill..no chance

  • good backhand shitty forehand

  • @gautamv8 I just noticed the same thing. It really looks a forehand of a hack player, especially @ 0:18 -- you can hear the ball going into the net. maybe he was just off that day.

  • he has slow feet. not good footwork

  • he's hott

  • The Harrison Boys are Hot!!

  • The funny thing is, is that my name is Christian Harriman and i am 14.

  • damn all the last comments are like 150 words long!

  • Gotta laugh at the comments from people here who think they know tennis. Maybe they don't know that Nick Bollieterri Academy is one of the most if not THE most well respected tennis academy in the US and maybe the world and that TENNIS magazine just did an article on Ryan Harrison who is in the Top 100 and even this well respected publication stated that Christian may be even more talented. Some people find it too easy to criticize on their fat asses when they know nothing!

  • @darrenmichael143 You should really check your facts before trying to make others look bad. As of now, Ryan Harrison has never been in the Top 100.

Guys, Christian Harrison has had to miss a crucial year and a half of his tennis development due to injury. Right now he is 17 years old and struggling to qualify for many futures. At 17, Ryan was WINNING futures events(he won 2 the year he turned 17). I really do wish the best for Christian, but he's not on track to be a great one anymore.

  • @23NaLi actually you need to check your facts, christian is 15 and your right he did miss a year and a half because of bone cancer and they almost had to take off his leg. he is a good kid who is still winning many ITFs and is playing some futures and he will be just as good if not better than his brother. oh and you may ask how i know, it is because i go to IMG and me, christian, and ryan are friends. sorry but your wrong,

  • @COBstarcraft Born may 29th 1994? yeah... you do the math.

  • @23NaLi dude 17 years old is pretty early..... most people turn pro around 18-22 so no hes not screwed

  • @TennisXCountry true true. And he's doing better now against college level competition. Maybe he should go to college for a year? if he has accepted any prize money already, of course.

  • @23NaLi *hasn't

  • Nothing special here...move along. There's a thousand kids that hit better...

  • @shawnspeed3 you are honestly stupid

  • @shawnspeed3 LOL i love ignorant comments like this one ..... #1 in the world in 12's 14's and 16's but yup sure nothing impresive..... u remember what you wrote here 5 years from now when u see him on tv playing every grand slam ;)

  • @shawnspeed3 Nick Bollettieri says hes more talented the his brother whos 19 and top 75 in the world

  • i think christian will go further than ryan just because he has the motivation to be better than him

  • Is it me or does he hit his forehands with an eastern grip?

  • @W3nGalanG its u

  • @W3nGalanG He is using a semi-western. You can tell by watching him use his left hand to slightly twist the handle as he does his unit turn. Besides, I don't think Nick Bollettieri would let him use an Eastern grip for his main forehand. Maybe eastern would be OK for specialty shots in certain situations. Federer moves a bit towards eastern when he wants to flatten his shot out for an aggressive approach or outright winner.

  • @ASTROxSniper1 I think you're looking into this a little too much. The kid is at the top of his age group and every other age group he's been in. The footwork is correct, I've seen other pros such as haas miss into the net (i trained at img), I don't think this video brings anything he should be concerned about. Just because his footwork isn't intense in this video, doesn't mean he doesn't have very active footwork. He could be just warming up here...

  • @ASTROxSniper1 He's just rallying, what do you expect? What else is he supposed to do other than hit the ball back to the guy he's rallying with? They're not playing points. I saw him play 12's eddie herr when I was t IMG, he's got loads of talent

  • @ASTROxSniper1 He was #1 for Age 16.... I'm pretty sure that's the next level.

  • @ASTROxSniper1 Do you know how good Christian Harrison is?

  • @ASTROxSniper1 Are you sure?

  • Everything there is taken care, so its bit diff than us who trains 3 or 4 times a week. They are very consistent thats y they win i guess

  • This guy should play Max Cancilla. ranked 40 in country age 12, plays 14s and wins.

  • @JustaNiceGuy333 he would murder max cancilla if you knew anything about christian harrison you would know he was the # 1 player in the world for 16 and under when he was only 14 and due to a injury he had to stop tennis for a while but he still is as good as he used to be

  • @gaarademon18 i know that. but i think that they should play with each other. 2 prodigies.

  • now once he is old enough to be in the pros like his brother, there will be a doubles team called the Harrison Brothers lol

  • needs to get around his forehand more... i heard alot of shots hitting the net.

  • @AceGuitarR7 I agree. Late preparation on the forehand, and his backhand preparation is very close to being late as well. As my father used to tell me, "Too hasty."

  • That backhand is amazing

  • I have a better forehand than that kid and I don't even train all day with Nick

  • @DestroyerAlexandros Same that you would say that you have better movement than karlovich, and you aren t even pro..

  • @kroo0der Hahahahahah 15-year old christian harrison and top100 Ivo Karlovic are a whole different league

  • @DestroyerAlexandros But did you understand the point?

  • @kroo0der I did but your point is flawed. Of course an amateur perfect footwork won't have the footwork Ivo has, but Ivo is top50 material. Harrison is just a kid, he has a lot to learn and there are a lot of ameteurs who can beat him in their prime

  • @DestroyerAlexandros bollettieris over rated. most of the good players he had were allready good by the time he got there. i wouldnt pay the amount of money he asks for to go there. its a rip off

  • @DestroyerAlexandros lol i love ignorant comments like this one, why dont you record your forehand and upload it then so we all can see it budd :) , i trained with christian for a while , those balls are landing between 2-4 inches before the baseline, the problem is that christian used to hit too much topspin and now pat (his dad and coach) is having christian hit a little flatter like ryan and is giving great results, he just passed the qualis of the futures in orlando. whats ur atp rakng?

  • @carsalbuja Are you retarded or something? I said that at this stage I have a forehand better than Christian WHEN HE WAS A KID. Obviously he is much improved now.

And TBH I don't find Ryan's forehand that good. Just watch his match against Soderling in Brisbane. You can see how Robin just busts the ball open (I have a similar forehand motion). Now compare Ryan's forehand to Robin's or even Grigor Dimitrov's

  • @DestroyerAlexandros so lets see a vid...

  • great technique

  • @imbecillealseguito his technique is solid but not on the deiton baughman caliber. a bit slappy if you ask me.

  • @awesomecambo I've known deiton for a while but never saw him play. is he that good?

  • Who is to say he is "not going anywhere"? Do you have a crystal ball that can predict the fucking future? Are you a tennis professional yourself? What if he grows alot during ages 17-20? Seems to me like you're all just jealous. God some people are fucking dumb. Seriously, this is just practice and he's not supposed to bash the crap out of every groundstroke.

  • @UltimateCommentator chill...

  • Comment removed

  • ya he's not going anywhere

    only good for jrs.

  • @tennisproderek

    Yeah...no. Shut the fuck up.

  • his forehand changed a lot in the past year.... i`m not sure if it changet 4 better or 4 worse...

  • i don think he hits like thtt during matches.... ( maybe he is still young)

    but still great potential...

  • 15..very short

  • what beautiful strokes their technically perfect

  • hmmmm how come i can't here the sweet spot. nice strokes, their more natural.

  • dont know why but his shots arent that great to me

  • @tennisproderek Because they are not. A lot of hypes, he's not going anywhere.

  • Huh.... What are yall talking about.. 95% of all college players can beat serena.. Women's tennis is terrible now.. btw... who is laura robson???

  • @jdezzey85 nope not even 5% .

WTA is terrible now but go see the video of Jankovic playing #1 Stanford's Klahn. He hit unforced errors like never before against her and she wasn't trying.

  • @andreyofdoom I've hit with top women's players and top college players.. no comparison. John Isner lost matches in college tennis a couple years ago and never won NCAA's.. Now he is top 20 in the world... honestly this kid would crush serena..

  • @jdezzey85 I don't think a 15 YO would take Serena. Even Christian. Maybe you have hit with top WTA players but have you hit with the TOp of the top? I am talking Jankovic, Williams sisters, Wozniacki etc?? This is coming from someone who hates women's tennis and doesn't even like Serena.

  • @andreyofdoom Serena lost a WTT match last year to Madison Keys... Who btw was a 14 year old girl... There are plenty of women who have wayyyyyyyy better ground strokes than Serena. Serena wins most of her matches on the women's tour because she is one of 3 people on tour who can serve... (other two being venus and stosur) The guys he is playing against serve way bigger than any of them... I personally don't think the match would even be close..

  • @jdezzey85 You can't seriously think serena would try her best at WTT. Look at Federer's results outside of Grand Slams. Same with Serena's. She usually wins less titles a year than slams lol. You have to keep in mind Serena has won slams and would probably return Christian's serve no matter how big it is for a 15 YO. Now if its men in the top 1000 then I doubt the women would stand a chance but against Christian Serena would find a way to win.

  • @andreyofdoom i agree. serena doesn't even like care during wta events besides the slams. and any college guy, that are good colleges i think would beat top wta players i the world. guys are just that much better...sorry.

  • @jptennis94 not true. jelena jankovic had bradley klahn come and practice with her and she beat him 6-1, 6-1. college guys are good but they are not as good as the top wta players

  • @thebigman80

Where did you get this information at?

I would like to read more into it.

  • @datmevinh

you can google it...also look up jankovic vs bradley khlan or something like that and you will see a video

  • @thebigman80 Guys are much better and im a girl, so i think i would know. I have seen a college guy hit with Venus before and he beats her easily. I guess everyone has their own opinions. If your a guy i appreciate you standing up for girls. But in all seriousness...guys are much much better than girls. Serves, volleys, and movement are the difference.

  • @thebigman80 I thought so too until I saw the Klahn vs Querrey match yesterday.

By losing to querrey in 4, I now fully believe that Klahn could destroy any top WTA player.

  • @andreyofdoom klahn can't beat serena williams lol

  • @jptennis94 I used to think what I said before because Jankovic destroyed Klahn at Stanford. However, I changed my mind when I saw the Klahn-Querrey match yesterday with Klahn taking one set off of Querrey. I agree now that good college players like Klahn should easily take top wta players.

  • @andreyofdoom haha thank you! i mean seriously...they serve 120's at least and are 100 times faster.

  • @andreyofdoom im going to have to agree...i was sitting courtside for that match and he played like a pro.

  • Very good backhand.

  • Nick Bollettieri!! IMG It is promising in the future.

  • he's better than his brother. nimble hitting

  • back hand is soo nice

  • laura robson will demolish this kid

  • @polipoli7 i dont think so dude a college #1 mens can beat serena

  • @infoowetrust serena? lol

  • @polipoli7 Robson? WHO??? bahahahaha

  • @infoowetrust know it yourself

  • his strokes are more fluid than his brother's

  • skiny skiny legs

  • nice
