Im actually honestly wating to see this movie, if it indeed goes for the way more serious lines of the old comics. When I was a kid I got my hands on only 3 comics, but recently got a slight clip of that world when I decided to really dig in to shredder´s story (love that man) and shit was that the total opposite compared to the "kiddie toons"! To be honest, I personally thought the last TMNT CG movie was convoluted and sloppy...I actually have faith that Michael Bay will pull a TMNT movie off well (maybe not the sequels).

I don't think you understood my point at all. My point was that Michael Bay is somebody who relies far too much on special effects. He firmly believes that special effects are more important than a good story or character development. There is nothing wrong with all CGI characters. Just look at the Pixar films or even Gollum from the Lord Of The Rings films. So you can do all CGI but it is also very possible to come up with a good story and character development.
Michael Bay cannot come up with a good story or character development to save his life. And the ROTF script didn't make sence. Not even the slightest and there were far too many plot holes. Not to mention the story seemed way too rushed. Even my teenage cousins hated ROTF for those reasons and they're Bay's target audience! So sorry but it had NOTHING to do with "the time we live in".

Really...really? Out of all the far better directors out there, you'd settle with Michael Bay? Why not Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, Legend Of The Guardians, and currently directing the Superman reboot with Christopher Nolan as producer), JJ Abrams (Star Trek, Super 8, LOST) , Jon Favreu (the director of the Ironman films), or even Gore Verbinski (Pirates Of The Caribbean 1-3), and even James Cameron. All those directors are far better than Michael Bay story-wise.

Nah I think Zack Snyder wud b perfect to make a new Turtles movie, hes got that awesome directing style where he uses slow motion and zooms in to emphasise particular moves, like wen u watch sum of the fight scenes in films like 300 and especially Sucker Punch, thats the style u need for the Turtles. I mean they fight and do martial arts so u need a style of direction that suits that. Yes Bay can do it pretty gud, and Transformers demonstrates that, but I think Zac Snyder wud b better.

I was a big fan of the movies when i was a kid and still am.The new getup looks interesting and has to be updated with the times to sell tickets but i still think the should stick with the original themes from the comics early movies. Theres a bunch of new movies that id like to see along with with this one is captain america and dark knight rises. they are also making another superman movie which i dont approve of. Christopher Reeves was Superman and those movies should have ended with him

That's all fine and dandy if you want to voice your opinion. However not only did you voice your opinion but you tried to pass off your opinion as fact as well as chastised anybody who did not agree with your opinion. That is where you screwed up and that is where you lost any chance of respect. @DeadmanInc336 your right, it would have been mutch better to make the robots or put people in robot suites. it had to be cgi. the script made sence becaue of the time we live in, the cast was great except for shia la buff or whatever his name is. the only problem i had was that there was hardly any robot time. i hate bay too but he did a good job with the films

I don't think you understood my point at all. My point was that Michael Bay is somebody who relies far too much on special effects. He firmly believes that special effects are more important than a good story or character development. There is nothing wrong with all CGI characters. Just look at the Pixar films or even Gollum from the Lord Of The Rings films. So you can do all CGI but it is also very possible to come up with a good story and character development.

Michael Bay cannot come up with a good story or character development to save his life. And the ROTF script didn't make sence. Not even the slightest and there were far too many plot holes. Not to mention the story seemed way too rushed. Even my teenage cousins hated ROTF for those reasons and they're Bay's target audience! So sorry but it had NOTHING to do with "the time we live in".

@DeadmanInc336 before i go on i just want to say i hate bay to and im dissapionted that prim and bee had the most air time. compare the transformations now to the old show. not that impressive. the all spark in movie one. was better than a crash landing. the second movie was more about the decepticons. the matrix was the key and the fallen as the maine villain was great. as for the third it gave an insite of cybertrons past and made sentinal a villian. these changes from the original made sence

It's all about the fact that Michael Bay puts no effort into coming up with a good story and developing the characters properly. Really...really? Out of all the far better directors out there, you'd settle with Michael Bay? Why not Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, Legend Of The Guardians, and currently directing the Superman reboot with Christopher Nolan as producer), JJ Abrams (Star Trek, Super 8, LOST) , Jon Favreu (the director of the Ironman films), or even Gore Verbinski (Pirates Of The Caribbean 1-3), and even James Cameron. All those directors are far better than Michael Bay story-wise.

And gotta admit Im liking the Turtles new look here, they look more like legends now, we want2 feel that these guys hav grown with us. Nah I think Zack Snyder wud b perfect to make a new Turtles movie, hes got that awesome directing style where he uses slow motion and zooms in to emphasise particular moves, like wen u watch sum of the fight scenes in films like 300 and especially Sucker Punch, thats the style u need for the Turtles. I mean they fight and do martial arts so u need a style of direction that suits that. Yes Bay can do it pretty gud, and Transformers demonstrates that, but I think Zac Snyder wud b better.

@ralphymanthegreat I think wot poeple r driving at here with the Issue of Bay is he just isnt good at building a solid plot in his films. He has an eye for action that is very clear, I can see exactly how he will handle this new Turtles movie wen it comes to action, he'll give it all the necessary camera angles, and awesome fight choreography, alot like how the he did with the Transformers movies, with all the cool acrobatics. And I understand I mean they r "Ninja Turtles," after all lol.

@ralphymanthegreat But the main concern that I think is on alot of people's minds is, the concern that Bay just wont deliver wen it comes to plot. He really doesnt focus on this area alot in his films, and it shows, the transformers movies were epic, action all that but just really quite thin plots. If he can really get this right that wud b awesome but guess we'll all hav2 w8 and c. But u cant blame people 4 expecting the usual from him lol.

I was a big fan of the movies when i was a kid and still am.The new getup looks interesting and has to be updated with the times to sell tickets but i still think the should stick with the original themes from the comics early movies. Theres a bunch of new movies that id like to see along with with this one is captain america and dark knight rises. they are also making another superman movie which i dont approve of. Christopher Reeves was Superman and those movies should have ended with him

@SHAWN09ify that new concept for 2012 look ugly as hell that would ruin turtles forever! they shouldn try something new they should just stick to the1990 formation but just make little ads as a progress like 3d and animatronic combination and more characters but the turtle characteral look from the eighties and begin nighties thats just THE turtles icon that shouldnt be messed with and its more easy to safe money within the budget then start something totally new again and again etc. RIP turtles
