  • Awesome! Thank you so much for the video!

  • I got the same one in Lidl

  • Thanks for sharing, always nice to see how it's done. M in Missouri

  • my gun will on compress once then it fails.... help.

  • @MFRoosy16 Hi, when you have compressed the gun once, you will then need to open the handles as far as they will go whilst pressing the gun down over the rivet again. Compress again and repeat this process until the rivet snaps away.

    Chris.

  • @MFRoosy16 Make sure you have the correct tip installed in the gun. The tighter the fit the better, any play will increase the chance the gun won't catch the shaft of the rivet after the first squeeze.

  • Excellent demonstration.

  • Thank you for your video. I've just purchased a rivet gun similar to yours.

    Indeed, a very useful tool.

  • Shank you very much :-D Excellent vid - both instructions and camerawork were fantastic!

  • Excellent video, very straightforward and informative. Ta very much. PAT

  • Thank MyWagga for your reply to my comments here. Just to let you know that I bought a good quality korean rivert gun today along with three different sizes of rivets for making a lighting softbox with aluminium rods that I bought as well. Tomorrow is sunday and I am excited to start work on my project tommorrow.

  • What a Riveting clip!

  • Thanks now I can fix my aircraft myself

  • Really helpful video.

  • Thanks, I have bought one of these but was unsure how to use it. This was helpful.

  • excellent video

  • Really good, I was watching a video about kit car building and saw all these thin pieces of metal sticking out of the body work. They said they were going to rivet them and I didn't know what they were doing. They had clearly dropped the rivet into the body rather than trying to hold it in the gun. Good video, I would now feel confident about riveting thanks to this. I love you tube :)

  • that was bloody brilliant. And you gave a two-fer - one for the rivit gun and one for remining me that i needed to fix a wobbly stock pot handle. YOUR the best. thank you.

  • Really helpful video, clear and simple. Thank you.

  • you have no idea how much this video has helped me thanks

  • @southernboi229

I had no idea that this video would be so popular, thanks for your comments.

  • Best video on youtube, thanks.

  • thanks mate got a rivet gun and ready to go

  • What about riveting a snap? the tool does not reach into the recessed space to contact the rivet top flange.

  • Thanks for the informative and detailed video explaining the function and use of rivets vs tapping screws and specifically the use of a rivet gun.

Most rivet guns I've seen are a comparable style, but due to lack of knowledge on the matter, I've opted for screws. Thanks to your vid, this will be changing.

  • Nicely done! You are the only person that gave multiple substances for examples! Picked up a rivet gun yesterday. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the video, excellent

  • Prefect video!

  • hey dude, after seing your video i went out and bought a rivet gunm, got it the other day, cheers dude.

  • Great vid, just what I needed, thanks.

  • black and decker workmate!! i have one too!

  • I viewed 2 or 3 other 'how to' video's about using a riveting tool....and found this particular video the best of them all. The camera was 'on target' (not moving & shaking all over the place and the explanation given by the guy demonstrating using the tool was clear (even for somebody--like me--who's never used a riveting tool before.

  • I have the same exact rivet gun and it fell apart after two uses. The C clip that holds it together is extremely thin and comes off and won't go back on. A better model is a Black and Decker one that is about the same size but tougher.

  • @frictiondrivebikes Thanks for the tip.

  • Great introduction video, thanks (good camera work too) I am now off to buy a pop rivet gun!

  • Just bought one, great video, thanks

  • @racingblonde Thats great, hope you like it.

  • Thanks for this videos, exactly what I needed

  • Very good and instructional video, nice work!

  • It doesn't seem to matter very much as long as it's not too much bigger it will work

  • How bigger do you drill the hole for the rivet

  • Nice job

  • Brilliant!!
