This grabs my heart every time, Sue. You did an outstanding job with the photos -- and, of course, Clay's voice and the song is just perfect. Thank you!
Beautiful, Sue, just beautiful -- so touching. *sniff* Thank you for creating and sharing this. Clay's voice fits this song just perfectly --and your pictures fit the words just perfectly, too.
Thank you For to be this montage, you have most sensibility. I said same you, if it's for "Judy" . She is a good inspiration for give message by love.
Thank for this,....... for them; i would to give these children on my arms, and give us more taht love must'n to give.
Beautiful! Love the pictures & video you chose -- fits his song so well. Clay's version, to me, is the very best. thanks so much for creating & sharing this.
sliv812 i have just watched a film about Michael Buble and it said that Foster wrote this song especially fro Buble, so i think that might be the 'original'. Unless it was wrong, Natalie cole does do a beautiful version of it though, i just love Michael's version better though. :)
This is an OK version, but nowhere near as good as the original 1989/1990 version by David Foster and Natalie Cole (which you can watch elsewhere here on YouTube). Sorry Clay, but you just can't beat an original.
Try iTunes. This song was included on a 4 song EP, All is Well. It was released exclusively to WalMart, but I believe you can now download it (although it's been a while since I looked)
I really adore this video and its meaning. It's very sad seeing all of this happening in America and how they worry so much about other countries problems instead of fixing our own when we have almost the same thing going on. We're singing this song for a choir and it really has great meaning to it. And just knowing that everyone could help out even if it's a little bit but it still is not happening is very disturbing. Just imagine what are future could be like if we did this...
Omgosh...I'm sitting here crying my eyes out. So "BEAUTIFUL", and so is Clay. Every word to the song and the videos and photos was just perfect. Thank you so much for sharing this Montage!
Reality check. Clay Aiken was not the inspiration for this song. "Grown-Up Christmas List" first appeared back in 1990, on David Foster's album "River of Love". The vocals on that track were by the great Natalie Cole. Amy Grant then released a version on her 1992 holiday album that made the tune popular. No offense to Clay, but the original by Natalie Cole/David Foster is way better. Look up the video on YouTube if you can. Well worth it.
Not a big Amy Grant fan, but I'm sure that Natalie Cole was AMAZING!!!
Just wanted to say that Clay was not the inspiration for this song (he would have been about 12 years old when it was written) nor was that ever my intent (and most people probably figured that out). I meant to say that the MONTAGE was inspired by Clay Aiken (I will now edit the information on this montage so that is clear to everyone).
Yep...I actually re-read the description for the video and realize I initially misinterpreted what you meant. But of course, YouTube doesn't let you edit your comments after you post them. My bad. Sorry about that.
Sue that was breathtaking! He is so endearing in every way and you have captured the true essence of the man, the performer, the heart. Awesome 50 stars out of 50 go your way! Granny lubs you!
It's what Christmas is really about. A baby.. a child.. who people could save by providing a manger. This child saved us. Clay Aiken is walking the talk. Just Beautiful!
Beautiful -- just beautiful -- love your special affects and using sepia tones for the parts of Clay with the children. Seeing those children with Clay and listening to him sing the words to that song brings it all home. thank you for posting this.
Sue,.. Thank you Very, Very Much for doing this montage. Though I know it's not your favorite Christmas song. This song captures the the true meaning of Christmas, Though our Christmas lists contain ipods and dells, there is NO BETTER wish granted and gift given than that of helping those in need and having loved ones out of harms way
Amazing montage Sue!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! Gorgeous. I LOVE this song, and I think, this montage is the greatest video that could go with this song. Especially with the gorgeous voice of Clay singing it!
You did it again Sue!!!!! When I think you can't top the last one, you come up with another one that just totally blows us away. Don't ever stop making montages. (Please)
