at the part where all the martellatos come in the plops were overpowering and the chorus people were rushing a bit but all in all it was excellent! im glad you guys actually play handbells rather than just using mallets or playing chimes; youd be suprised at how many videos people have sent me where thats it.. and im alwauys dissapointed buut not now :)

I believe Stairway to Heaven was arranged for the Raleigh Ringers as a response to a dare when the conductor/director was being interviewed on radio -- or so the story goes. Each year, they would add a contemporary song to their repertoire. There is a Raleigh Ringer series of music that you may want to look for. I don't recall which handbell music vendor carries it.

I went through 3 videos all between May 18-20, all with stairway to heaven as it... Any my birthday is on the 19th of May, creeps me out a little...

Girard is an amazing school for performing arts..... almost all have graduated now and are continuing there career in performing arts and love it ... I still keep in contact with those that graduated in 09....

You guys are awesome. I was in bells for four years and like someone said in the comment, we don't get enough credit. It was truly an amazing class. We were the last bell choir when we graduated...I'm happy to be a part of that. I will post a video of our bells one day. My teacher was amazing.

One thing I've noticed is that when holding notes you're generally supposed to play in a more of a circular motion out in front instead of just holding the bell still.

Other than that it was a nice rendition.

Mr. Dearbeck (Chris Dearbeck, the guy conducting) actually wrote this piece for the bells. He's getting it published and he said it'll be out soon, unfortunately I can't remember when he said. =/
