Healthcare seems like one of those things that's more difficult for mutual aid to compete in, and I think it will suffer even more attacks than for example agriculture already has. I have no doubt that mutual healthcare is going to get its chance and prove it works, but i think it's going to come along slowly and cautiously.
Awesome about the hospitals, most people can begin to part with religion by adulthood, if they want it. Parting with the state is much more difficult. So from the perspective of voluntary association, all things being equal, go for mutual healthcare, religion, and finally state-funded healthcare. Remember that doesn't mean you have to die for your principles and values. I doubt that I would if the only place to get treatment was D.C.
