You don't think he was compassionate in this song or in their interaction before this? In this, he caresses her and holds her and sings right into her eyes. Earlier, he does dismiss her and just kind of uses her. John Lloyd Young had an amazing voice that I totally wasn't expecting after hearing him in Jersey Boys. He has a deep and rich voice-love him!

yes, that's true. i was in a production of this once, and i was much closer with the person who played Marius, so he felt more comfortable doing all that he could to make the scene more ... schmoopy i guess u could say! but, yes, i do appreciate this video as much as anyone!

I was blown away at how deep and wonderfully rich his voice is. You can't tell that from Frankie Valli's songs.I don't think they recorded this, but i could be wrong.

This is absolutely amazing.

Their 2 voices make a beautiful sound and you can almost feel the pain that Lea's character is going through by the way she sings it with such emotion.
