@MattTheLatt Yeah, that is a great way to produce some feedback. I also like to push the headstock onto the tolex of an amp, really feeds the vibrations into the guitar itself :-)
In this video, the volume and gain wasn't really that high so that's why feedbacking didn't really work. At rehearsal volumes, the bassamp feedbacks really cool with this pedal!
@Torrello13 Does it really matter how long/short we percieve a demo to be? To me this is still kinda short, keeping in mind that when I play/jam I can go on for hours without noticing it ;-P
I love this pedal though, it's an important part of my bi-amping setup. It does a great job of creating a nice gnarly fuzzy bass-sound or just making it all sound bigger. It does well during gigs too, which is important.
Nice demo, but just be a bit more easy with the amount of fuzz and overdrive you use. In a gigging situation it just sounds like a miss of sound which cant be heard. How do I know? Ive made that mistake many times, way before I realised you need mids to be able to be heard.
@krispatel1 Don't worry, got plenty of mids in my rig these days. I'm bi-amping with an Orange Rocker 30, the amp in the video was the bass-amp by itself. Settings have changed since this video too, did a lot of testing with a mic and listening to what gets picked up. The sound from this video was picked up by a Zoom H2 recorder.
Having said that, in my band I try to fill more of the low-end sound. We are a rock trio of a drummer and 2 guitarists, a bit like the Blues Explosion :-)
@seedyv1 The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, that particular track is called "Sweet n Sour' which can be found on their album "Plastic Fang". They're one of my favorite bands and a huge inspiration for me!
Hey, its a nice demo, i just bought the pedal after watching your video actually. And same point of view, pretty simple pedal but pretty effective !
Its a little bit killing the crunch and removing like all of your treble, so you have to adjust your amp equalizer, but thats why this pedal is made for !
I love it and once again you are right, you have to check it with different pedals and settings, which means alot of possibilities !
@kwentine Cheers! Good that it's working out for you! On how much gain do you use it? I'm currently using it a lot in my band, because we aren't a typical band-setting... as in we don't have/want a bassplayer. I'm mostly using it set to 11'o clock.
@hezzart Its a little bit to soon for me to tell, but this week-end we're going to play alot with my band to record some demos, i'll tell you this by monday ;)
Bet you could do some damage with this pedal going into an old tweed (or any low wattage non-master tube amp). Excellent playing, much better than all these horrible shredders on youtube!
@stevemend Thank you! I really appreciate the kind comment! I'm not much of a shredder myself, I simply don't have the technical ability nor do I really want to. It's cool that people have the ability to shred, but in my opinion the best guitarists are those that aren't afraid to slow down and PICK their notes. I think that guitarists that understands both and know how to balance it are really exceptional.
Yeah, cool. It seems to have the effect of a tone control with a compressor combined when used with guitar frequencies. Almost like an octave shift, giving a nice, subtle effect at the stomp of a switch.
Thanks for doing this demo dude! Hmm, that's really weird that it lets no signal pass when the boost is all the way down. I thought it was only meant to increase a particular fixed frequency, not boost or cut the whole lot! ;-) When you ran it into the overdrive or fuzz it almost gave it a glitchy octave pedal kind of sound, a bit like a Foxx Tone Machine or something.
@chatnoirband Yeah, I'm really digging that octave effect it brings out in combination with the Fuzz! It kinda surprised me but opened up some new ideas. Around 4:50 you can actually see in the demo that I noticed it.
@chatnoirband The 'boost' pot is sitting at the end of the circuit and really just acting as a straight volume control. Hence, when all the way down, all of the signal is going to ground.
Should I get this, or the LBP-1 for that Tony Iommi type of tone?

if you love feedback, you should try holding your guitar in front of your amp

@MrWahWow Nog niet! Maar een vriendin-bassiste komt misschien over 2 weekjes jammen dus dan kan ik het misschien zelf eens proberen.
