  • Told to "sing down" not to make all them amatuers look to bad? What was going on in producer Woody Allen's head? Well, one of these days I'm gonna hear Goldie at karaoke without the pressure of a show like this, singing maybe, "What's Up," which don't take no being pink or non-blonde!

  • Some years ago, I tried to do this dance with a girl. I think she’s still in the hospital.

At least she knows now the meaning of the song: “I’m through with love – I’ll never fall again”!

  • Man, that's a great scene. I'm suddenly in love with Goldie Hawn now.

  • Must be fun to float in the air like that...

  • Magic scene!

  • Gotta love Woody Allen films...

  • this is my favorite scene in the entire movie, though I watched it specifically for Tim Roth... :sighh: so romantique

  • I didnt see 2:20 coming at all

  • @slye1991 lol neither I !!

  • Woody knows the taste of the greatest period of American showbiz world. This is wonderful hommage to it with, in a sense, the most American "ish" actress Goldie. I really admire this remarkable film director.

  • Wow...Goldie is a great singer! The best in the movie.

  • What a wonderfully happy movie and this scene I really love!

Goldie sings so sweetly and the dance sequence is amazing!!

  • Oh, to have grown up a rich Jew in a sprawling apartment on the upper east side of Manhattan... and gone to the Dalton School and spent holidays in Paris.

  • I love this movie because of it's ability to be so funny, but also have moments like this. This is my favorite scene :)

  • One of the reasons just about every actor and actress want to appear in a Woody Allen movie because there's always a chance he'll come up with something like this. And this film, by the way, is one of Goldie's best.

  • anybody know where i can get an mp3 of this? I've looked on itunes and amazon and it's nowhere to be found :(

  • @cda345 You can buy the Audio CD of the Soundtrack on Amazon.

The track you are looking for is also on the CD.

    Hope I could help.

  • To live life like a Woody Allen movie

  • ohmygod the flying is so stunning

  • goldie has a stunning voice, and she's being forced to sing more modestly here!

  • Хороший фильм, вообще, Вуди Аллен молодец)

  • I think this scene is a sort of quote of the dance scene in "An American in Paris" where Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron dance at the Seine near a bridge at night. :-)

  • i have to see the rest of this movie!! i love woody allen

  • イイなあ

  • Paris by night !

  • My favorite scene in one of my favorite movies of all time! Beautiful, Goldie and Woodie make a great screen couple. Magic while very realistic!

  • Unforgettable scene! Woody's romance is unique!

  • I can't find an mp3 of Goldie singing this song. It's so lovely!

  • WOODY ALLEN RULES!

  • this made me cry at the movies when i saw it... i love magic

  • ain't love grand?

  • is goldie hawn kate hudson's mother?

  • @1simaddict1 yes

  • she really did a great job !!!

    flying so elegant, so beautiful~

  • does anyone know how they made this sequence with goldie flying everywhere?

  • this was done live on camera, golidie was wired in a harness and attached by wires to a crane, same thing they used to make superman fly with, this is not cgi, she did an amazing job of making it look so effortless

  • Can someone please tell me.. is this a musical ?

  • Definitely..a good film though;-)

  • yes, it is a musical

  • yes it is.

  • Of course it is, but hey don't sing the whole timethe songs are all amazing, and the movie is also really funny! If you've never seen it, go for it! I'm pretty sure you'll love it! ;o)

  • i love goldie xx

  • Where can u watch this movie in full

  • uhhh, what a wonderful scene, i was somewhat disappointed with everyone says i love you until the last twenty or so minutes and this number is splendid.

  • this gave me wood

  • Is that Venice??

  • Are you kidding? It's obviously Paris.

They're dancing on the bank of the Seine!!!

(which, IMO, is the only place in the world here you could pull off a scene like this in 1996.)

  • Ugh Goldie breaks my heart in this!!!

  • This is one of my favorite movie & favorite scene! Thank you!!

They make a marvelous duet :)

  • Believe it or not, when I went to the movie in 1996, I was the only one in the theatre. It's a good movie, and this duet scene is so wonderful~ what a magic!

  • i heard goldie was told to sing more modestly as she her singing was too good

  • Yes, it's true. It's in the DVD notes.

  • ahhh woody is part of a dying breed of movie magicians

  • @GeorgieMaeXD I agree. I've only seen 3 films of his. I mean to see them all in a row at some point.

  • Beautiful!

  • i've watched this movies for over 10 times, and I never get tired of it :)

  • I just watched Everyone Says... for the first time today and this sequence is without a doubt one of the absolute best scenes he's written.

  • I have a feeling Woody is copying someone here. Not that I don't think he's talented, but he does copy a lot. Can anyone confirm this / name the source?

  • Golden Age's romantic comedies and it calls 'paying homage', not copying.

  • Several of WA's movies are homages (not copies) to the directors, or styles of film making, that he admired growing up. Your use of the word "copying" strikes me as odd, and a more than a bit foolish.

  • Yes, okay, fine. "Paying homage." I never intended to imply that his works are derivative or diminished because of it. I'm a more than a bit sorry if I've offended your sensibilities.

  • great sequence!!!!

  • Goldie's got a nice singing voice.

  • Do you have any clips of tim roth in this film and if so could you please upload them ?.I'm really curious to see him in this film.

  • woody + goldie = WALL-E

  • My God, this is simply beautiful..and you hear it from a person that DOESN'T like musicals;)

  • Uma das cenas mais lindas que já vi na vida!

  • I love this movie so much...

I actually adore all of WOODY's movies...

I'm his big, big fan :D

  • Magical;-) Woody is a genius!

  • thank you, woody..

  • just a magical scene..still gorgeous.

thank you for this wonderful post.

  • How come she's flying? I've never seen this movie, so I don't get it. Very beautiful scene, though.

  • Seconded.

Goldie has always been a 'Supergirl' but, I didn't know she was that awesome. :)

My flying (in dreams) is about that light but, not as stable.

The NTSB would consider mine to be "Controlled flight into terrain". XD

  • I interpreted the flying as symbolism for the magic that never died between Joe and Steffi, two people who were "made for each other and not made for each other," to borrow a quote from another Woody movie.

  • Best dance scene on film of all time. Woody is a Legend.

  • that is SO goddamned beautiful

  • Best scene of the movie. Just love it. I remember when i showed this movie to one of my German friend, he adored it but thought it was weird coming from an Haitian chick. Goes to show that Music has no barrier

  • beautiful.

  • this is a witty movie, and a feel good movie, woody is a great director/writer

  • goldie would have made a great roxie hart in chicago

  • thank you very much ..was waitinf fro some1 to post this for a very long time

  • thanks... love it

  • Magical is the word! I Can't describe it any othere way!

  • Thanks for posting this! It's quite magical, in an unexpected way.
