@BrickLaneBetty thank you! Thank you for taking the time to tell me all this I would have never guessed it to be like that, it seemed like an almost idealic little American town. I will defiantly pay a visit next time in San Francisco visiting my sister. Thanks again and best of luck with your new found happy days :)
I now finally know why there is so much unstable energy in Santa Rosa. I lived there for years and could never figure out why, despite being such a perfect city in so many ways, it has such an odd feeling to it.
@BrickLaneBetty Really? I am fascinated, I currently live in Brisbane Australia possibly the most boring city in the world and am looking to move here when I finish studying. Does this energy you speak of an atmospheric kind of thing or spiritual? Thank you regards
@STRUCK37 actually I would describe it as a social energy that feels "off". Almost no jobs, no industry, VERY hard to be single. many recent releases from jail seem to congregate down town. Loads of homeless...people who actually make it there are doctor's, lawyers, teachers or those who grew up there and want to stay. I lived there for almost eleven years not including a few stretches working in the Bay Area. The place is VERY intoxicating though.
@STRUCK37 (cont) you are close to the coast, the forest, the Bay Area, Marin, Sea Ranch...they have a wonderful Junior College, parks all over, great places to eat, beautiful architecture but the whole town just feels "off" like food that has gone off. Sounds odd but that's how to describe it. once I left there my life skyrocketed for success and happy days. The scary thing about SR is that it is SO hard to leave and it becomes a time vacuum. glad I lived there but happy I left!
you know what scares me? i live in Santa rosa my entire life (im 17) If we have a big earthquake what will happen to our town? were like directly on the fault. :(
I don't know why all the attention was Hive to San Francisco. Santa Rosa was pretty bad too. The next time the San Andreas Fault Shifts, We're Screwed. But those pictures are shocking. Its wierd to see what it looked like back then.
Jim Johnson has a great narration voice. I did not know this. I live there and we are due another big one, right? We should move! Why don't we move? I am too locally tied...thank you so much for this wonderful content!(I would say that if i lived in Moscow, it's not just because I live in Santa Rosa CA...- this is A1 content!)
que casualidad que poco despues de la expansión estadounidense hacia el oeste, o poco despues del fin de la guerra Mexicano-americana, y la anexación de territorios y ciudades mexicanas a los ee.uu, hubo muchos terremotos!

Funny, I had no idea. I always thought that the buildings on 4th street would have been there pre-1906, not post. Crazy.
