For people that dont know the text, it is Icelandic. But its not really a story he sings, rather like short memories, if you would understand u would feel like as if you where stood in his dreams, cause the meaning is very beautiful and reflects memories and feelings from the instrumentals. Very good mixture and really make u feel like as if you are dreaming. Very beautiful

They sing two types of "languages". One is called Hopelandic, a self-invented language which is just ludicrus, but made to fit the song. Sounds quite like Icelandic, which is the second language they use.

Well, first of all they are not Scandinavian; Iceland is a Nordic country but not Scandinavian. Second and more importantly Coldplay are a commercial orientated pop band and Sigur Ros are a critically acclaimed "Post Rock" band. Not saying which type of music is better but the only similarities I hear is a piano being used in each (and even that it is used in a totally different way). Best and only comparison: Sigor Rus is the Icelandic version of the Icelandic band Sigor Rus
