Best thing to do if you want to play custom gh songs is to just get frets on fire. Its free and it doesn't require a good computer to run. People have imported all the songs from the gh and rb games to it too. If you have a usb guitar controller it works too. Or atleast the xbox one does.

You also need to make sure your bpm is in sync with your song. The step thing that you claim that makes you move faster is meant to be used to place 1/4 notes, 1/8 notes etc. Having the proper bpm makes charting a hell of a lot easier.

1 more question for u. this is my first time trying to make a chart, have done plenty of custom disks though, but how do u know when to place the notes and how long to make them when u can not hear the song while ur placing them. do u just have to keep goin back and forth between the song and the note placing section?

well i can hear it fine when i press play, and i can slow it down and everything, but i cannot add notes at that time till i pause, then im able to add notes but dont hear the track, just the sounds of me moving up and down the fret board. im sure im missing something somewhere?

Oh no, you have to pause it when you need to place the note. You wouldn't really have time to place it correctly if you didn't...

I had that problem once, I think all I did was close the program and moved the MP3 to a different folder, then back again. That worked if I remember correctly, don't know why.

(Like a note won't be a hammer-on if it's more than a measure after the previous note, but what if I do want to make it a hammer-on?)

I said that in the video. You have to save your chart in the songs folder as well. Any mp3 or chart files you put in that folder can be loaded into Feedback.
