  • i want it!

  • I like Hung. He's funny, creative, and he can cook like Tazmanian Devil. But Smurf village presentation just made me laugh, ha ha ha! XD

    **** YOU MICHAEL SCHWARTZ!!!

  • "i think he created a land where he's truly lord. if that's how it is.....then God bless him." hahahahahaha my stomach hurts so much from laughing:D

  • What the f*** is that?!

  • that guest judge is one of the weakest guest judges they've had on the show.Hung's skills are much more superior to him in reality

  • these judges need to have some humor and stop being so serioussss

  • not true stefani izard had true talent and never was in any drama in season 4. she was almost always in the top. chef tom said so. happy to see a female top chef. he only in seven top chef winners.

  • not true stefani izard had true talent and never was in any drama in season 4. she was almost always in the top. chef tom said so. happy to see a female top chef. he only on seven top chefs.

  • Just to clear up something Hung's Smurf Village was featured on that episode of top chef, but the commentary from the other chefs and from Hung was different then what it was here. I think it's funnier here.

  • How did u get the clip of it.. If it was aired

  • @Jeshika11 This was unaired footage that was available on the GLAD website.

  • @137mango hatter

  • Best Top Chef moment ever!

  • What else could you make in the cereal aisle? Maybe something fried with the cereal...but I think that's all about it. It's pretty funny, and at least he puts 110% effort behind it :)

  • I loved Hung's Cereal Smurf Village. It was very creative.

  • How does such a close minded person get to be a judge

  • the judge could have chuckled a bit

  • what can you do with cereal anyway.. guest judge took it too seriously LOL

  • Oh man, the judge sucks!

  • @hutukaTB hell ya

  • More like thinking inside the cereal box! LOL I thought it was hilarious and creative!

  • Hung rules!!! He's the best!

  • Padma and the guest judge were *way* too uptight and serious about this. I mean, Hung was obviously an insanely skilled chef, and he decided to have some fun. Lighten up.

  • I want to make this...

  • this was shown..didnt he lose the quickfire? I know he won the season

  • You are correct he did not win the quickfire, the judge was a dick. However Hung triumphed in the end.

  • LOL! Oh god this so made my day.

  • Hung is the best.

  • What????

  • Top Chef Masters just repeated this Quickfire challenge (where--no surprise-- none of the cheftestants got stuck with the cereal aisle), I could not believe Bravo did not air a clip of Hung's Smurf Village. It was a highlight of season 3, and one of the funniest moments in Top Chef history. I was glad to find it memorialized in video on You Tube.

  • what season was this ?

  • It's season 3. It's even in the title of the video.

  • I've watched every season of Top chef.. and my favorite is still HUNG ! :P

  • Me, too! Hung's so skilled! I don't remember this clip at all. But it made my day and made me LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Hung's awesome. That guest judge had no sense of humor.

  • go hung :) naais smurf village btw hung ownz ;)

  • padma is hot tbh

  • Hung is the best top chef so far. He is the only one who I think has really got a future beyond top chef. Plus, most of the other top chefs are annoying and over-dramatic in the kitchen!

  • @eliotj yes he's great but voltaggio brothers are better than hung both of them

  • Hung is the only decent male winner. I want to push Illan and that bald a-hole who won Season Five off a cliff.

  • Harold was a good Top Chef winner wasn't he? =/

  • I wish that Hung would team with TC4's Carla and make a Hootie Hoo! Smurf resort. It would be so damn colorful!!

  • I am soooo happy about the chef's that have won the past seasons, besides Stephanie, Antonia or Dale should of won!

I realy liked that Smurph village!I was like IMAO! I was so happy that Hung hosted one of the quickfires!

Hes the fastest chef in history!

I though TJ laughing just made me laugh more! =D

    I LOVE ILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I LOVE HUNGGGGGGGGGG!

  • hes a great chef I actually made the guy cook for me or id slice his throat

  • I love the chefs that nobody seems to like--Hung, Stephen from season one and Stefan from season five are definitely my favorites.

  • I HATE STEFAN. stephen was sexy/awesome. AND did you like marcel(sp)? i hated him lol

  • Actually, I liked Marcel; he's an arrogant little thing but he reminds me of my youngest (bratty) brother. I agree Stephen is very sexy. I guess I like Stefan because I lived in Germany for 5 years, so I get the whole German/Finnish attitude.

  • I just saw this today, very creative.

  • i love this episode!!!!!!!!

  • this is my favorite tv show

  • Go type " Anthony Bourdain Talks About Top Chef" on youtube. Hung gets an endorsement from him.

I'm glad that they ask Hung to judge a quickfire.

  • haha love it. If it tastes good who cares? I'm totally digging into his crazy smurf village. And yeah the judge looked like he had a stick shoved up his ass. Just have fun with it. God..

  • I love hung! He was arrogant but not an a-hole. There's a difference, people!

  • yes, you are soo soo right!!

  • I love Hung's comment at the end where he says the guest judge can't "think outside the box" especially since he used boxed cereal in his dish. :)

  • Adorable!!!

  • illan and hung are so cute and deserved to win!!!

  • Hung is my Fave~

  • Somebody told me that Hung was planning to open a Mediterranean-Asian seafood restaurant in Manhattan. Does anyone have the name of it?

  • I think that was my favorite part in the entire season. I love that smurf village. "I think he created a land that he is truly lord."

  • Mine too. This is a competitive reality show but at least this had some fun. Fun beats drama all the time.

  • That's why I love it. Yeah it is a competition but everyone is pretty much respectable on the show and their isn't over the top drama.

  • Yeah right, a Peruvian homophobe is all we need!! Go and put a nice hot chilli in your pimply behind darling!

  • What's a homophobe doing watching a pro-gay channel? Larry Craig, is that you?

  • hillarious is all that i can say

  • So what if they're gay or bisexual? Is there a law that says real chefs are heterosexuals? You homophobes are what's wrong with today's world.

  • I don't care if someone who cooks me a good meal is a gay/lesbian. Honestly, what keeps 'em warm at night doesn't really have anything to do with their sauteeing skills, now does it?

  • I love CJ's commentary on it. "If that's the little candy land that he lives in inside of his head then God bless him. 'Cause that place is awesome." CJ was hands down my favorite.

Hung deserved to win the season though. He was the most skilled Chef. I honestly thought it was going to come down to Hung and Tre. Ah, the Casey curse. Poor Casey... and anyone she holds dear.

  • i like hung he seems like a nice young person and is it me or does seaason 3 seem to be like more respectful and well manared than season 4 cus there was a lot of bitches in season 4

  • me too =]

  • lol

  • I have to agree with that also, those 2 were the most skilled chefs on this show. By the ratings, season 2 was the best though.

  • Well, you aren't tasting it, so hard to tell. the judges are food critics, and know high quality taste when they get it. SO we might be amazed by the flavors, but they know better.

  • Well i know that but something tells me that it doesn't taste that good or that they put a lot of flavors to it. I am latina so lol i like my food with a lot of "sazon" seasoning lol. I love cooking and watching anything that has cooking stuff in it and well if i taste something hahaha i can tell u if is on point or not. I wanted to be a chef until my mom started bitching.

  • so you let your mom's bitching spoil your life and now you call yourself DR BITCH.

    how it comes full circle.

  • Youre gonna specialize in anger management issues?

  • ummm, I was kidding, Dr. Bitch. and just for the record, you're the one swearing and name-calling here. You don't know me but you call me pathetic and stupid, I wouldn't want a shrink so volitile.

  • Well next time be more specific when you are joking, i thought you just wanted to bother me. This could had avoided a lot of things.

  • I liked Hung a lot also I liked Marcel he was a good chef. Everybody busted on him for being mean. Its a cooking competition. Lisa is mean but her food sucks

  • Stephanie won Top Chef 4 and I believe she's the best top chef so far!

  • I hope you realize that you're at -6 not because we don't like Stephanie, but because Harold is the greatest.

  • what did the judges think about it?

  • Hung is awesome!

  • I agree with Hung.

  • season 3 is the best!

  • Ranking the Top Chef winners.

    1. Hung-." I don't care if he doesn't teach Dale how to make Sea bass or hog the shellfish. As the winner from Project Runway 4 said "Asians are fierce!"

    2. Harold-too moody for me

    3. Ilan Hall-Wasn't he the jerk who instigated the hair-cutting incident?

Top Chef 4-Since this season is all about having a female winner. I have a feelings that it's going to be somebody that I hate or don't give a s---- about.

  • We'll find out tonight. Richard, Stephanie and (gulp) Lisa.

  • Hung is God!!! I love the men! F..ing artist!

  • aww...Hung is so cute. lol.

  • i loved that quickfire!

  • When Hung won the Manhattan Project quickfire, I knew that he was going to take home the title of "Top Chef." One of the contestants was bitching about Hung not giving him the secret recipe. LOL

  • I remember that! lol! Dale was the one bitching about it, going off on how he has honor and is not sabotaging the other chefs. Hello! The challenge was to figure out *how* to cook it. Dale wanted the short-cut and when Hung didn't agree, he got all pissed!

  • It make me like Hung even more.

  • This was a hard quickfire. They had to prepare a dish based on a particular grocery aisle that they were given. What can you do with cereal in 15 minutes? I thought he did a good job, compared to Howie, who didn't produce anything. Again, the challenge was really unfair. No one goes into the supermarket and only shops in one aisle.

  • I love the 3rd season. I don't find myself laughing a whole lot or inspired by the guys in the current season

  • That guest chef is a punk. He tries to come off as all cool and progressive, but he is really close minded. Hung went out on a limb and had fun with it. That wannabe-hipster guest judge was just outed as the poser he really is. Props to Hung.

  • He's a great chef. He deserved to win, and took the challenge he was given and made fun of it. I mean, he had to make a complete course from the CEREAL AISLE how fair is that?

  • I wish that some people would get off their high horses. Who cares if Hung is a jerk? This is a cooking competion not a personality contest. Go check Boudain and Tom Colicchio's online blog. Both of them agreed that Dale's lobster was a big disapointment and that Casey choked on the last episode. Hung's use of the portable stoves(suited for the altitude) was a clever move. He worked fast, didn't point fingers, and and had no problems delegating work.

  • Hilarious! This must have been my favorite season

  • I didn't like him at all throughout the show, but this one quickfire made me think that he wasn't a complete douche. I love this creation, and want to replicate it.

  • that was great

  • Hung is a great chef. He was having fun. And he did think "outside of the box" he may or may not fall flat on his face here. But he is trying to create. Creation is extending your imagination to its limits and not giving a shit what people think. You never know what may come out. Do you think great recipes sprung up overnight? It took creativeness.

  • Amen to that! God bless all the artistic risk-takers in the world.

"Without risk, there is no growth."

  • hes viet!!bitches

  • You may not like his attitude, but if you know anything about professional cooking, you know he's an extremely talented chef. Even Anthony Bourdain said in his blog after the show was over that Hung deserved to win, hands down.

  • he is the best

  • this is hilarious. i'm glad hung won.

  • Didn't they air it on tv where you live? They aired it in New Zealand.

  • Why the heck didn't they air this on TV? Is it because CJ brought up God (i.e. "God bless him")? This extra portion would have made an already awesome episode mindblowing!

  • that judge was a bitch, Hung is probably a better chef than him. He was just being creative and it definitely looked good. FUCK that judge for being a bitch!

  • In Hung's own words, "Gimme ten dollars and 20 minutes with cereal and coffee, and it's like, I'm making the Smurf Village. I'm going for it. They didn't know what to say. They were like 'What the hell's wrong with this trippy m*********r?'"

  • he was far from an a-hole. he was in his own world at times and very driven, but he was far from ruthless. i thought he was mostly a good sport all the way, remaining in good feelings with all the contestants right up to the end. and he was sufficiently humbled and grateful when he won, too. that's important.

  • thats their fault for going ahead and helping him lol

  • oya hung is the winner... good on you HUNG... i know u be the best

  • who is the winner??? HANG...? u sure..? i am so happy if he did. i am in new zealand, in here the program just start..., verry late..., but I cant wait to know the winner...

please any one let me know...please....

    thank you

  • Best quick fire EVAR!

  • that is awesome...too funny - nice one Hung!

  • lmao. This was the point where Hung became more than just a great but cocky chef to me. It really showed he had a fun side too. Thanks for posting.

  • Yay Hung! I loved him throughout the show. He wasn't all that bad-- just stubborn and egotistical.

  • This whole situation is a clear cut case of the judge needing to "lighten-up" a little bit. Just because your judging food on tv don't give you the right to be an arrogant prick about it.

Hung, your world of food on a plate kicked major ass!

  • Hung was definatly one of the most passsionate chef's but he wasn't the most social

    CONGRATS HUNG!!!!!!

  • HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa

  • Hung has incredible knife skills, the speed ans technique he broke down his produce with on some of the episodes was very impressive/ inspiring. I do think he was a little bit robotic at times, but hands down Hung was best chef. Casey was also my fav, her food appealed a little more to me.

  • hung the best

  • Congratulations, Hungh for winning Top Chef.

  • Where the heck did this video come from?

  • This video was on the GLAD website. The website usually has tid bits that weren't shown on the show.

  • Hung was definitely voted the least favorite, but I love him and knew he was gonna win the title 3 weeks ago. Rock on, Hung!

  • hung is gona win hes the best

  • i want a smurf village for my breakfast!!

    go hung!
