  • Thank you! This will hopefully help me with making my Chibitalia cosplay~!

  • If you want to make the measurement of your crotch to your knee go to your ankle instead, would it matter?

  • Aww look at da wittle bwoomers!!

  • perfect for lolita ^^

  • hi i'm trying to make these as pyjama pants but i have one question how do you make the waisst elastic into a ribbon?

  • what if i wanted them with a bit more flare? do i move the elastic up a bit? or...

  • I wanted to say thank you SOOOOOO much! I used this tutorial for the bloomers I made for a concert [Emilie Autumn] and I made it THE DAY OF! Only took me an hour and a half [never made clothes before!] this was so helpful and so easy! :D :D :D I made one side black and the other a light pink [to match a corset] and it worked WONDERFULLY. <3 <3 <3

  • two people missed the like button

  • You made this ages ago and still do not have the step by step posted on your web site. Are you ever going to get around to it?

  • if im going to do ''ciel in wonderland'' pants ( search on google ) do you know how to do the little bows on the end of his pants, would reealy appreciate the help c:

  • I love your spirit hehe keeep doing you go girl ;-)

  • Bloomers are fun! I've made them before, and really enjoyed wearing them!

Somewhere between your bloomer tutorial and your leggings tutorial I know there's a potential pajama pants tutorial... I've got a fun old flannel sheet I'm dying to make into a pair of pajamas, but I'm not sure how. And I'd LOVE a tutorial on how to make a matching top, if you can think of something simple to make from flannel.

    Please, please, please?

  • your funny.

  • You have nothing on your website D;

  • Wows, thanks, Evange! I need to buy Loli bloomers and I was really stressed at how expensive they are... but now I can make my own! <3

  • What is ease?

  • thank you for this great tutorial but I still got one question - when I draw the curve which angle do I have to take?? cause I can make the curve very small or very width and still connect the two points I have (hope you understand me sorry for my bad english)

  • if you made the length longer, could you do this for harem pants?

  • @shfoodluver It would probably work, but I also have a tutorial specifically for harem pants.

  • Hi Evange! Can you explain on your website how you did the bloomers, please? I`m spanish and it`s hard to understand an oral explanation. Thanks

  • Hey Evange! Thank you so very much for this tutorial! It totally saved my life :D I do have on question though, I went to your page to find the pattern and step by step tutorial for the bloomers (I am a true novice in the art of sewing so the video goes a little too fast for me haha) but it said that the patterns and instructions would be "coming soon" would you have any idea when will those come out? Thank you so much again!! :D

  • I love your dance. If I was in your position with a finished bloomer in front of a camera ... I'd dance just like that! ^_^ I would modify mine to be shorter because the skirt I'm thinking of using it for is super short but perfect if it's got a bloomer underneath. Thanks for the tutorial!!!!

  • PLEASE PETTICOAT TUTORIAAL! :333333

  • but how do u make theme puffey.i am go to cosplay as ponyo

  • @animelove271

I took a fabric with about 60 inch (instead of about 40 inch) width this made it very puffy

  • I see a Ponyo cosplay in these :)

  • omg!!! i just made my first pair and they are so BOSS!!!!!!! love them soooooo much!!! XD

  • Sorry I have a lot of questions... I'm making a kyary pamyu pamyu outfit (the one in pon pon pon) instead of taking it down to right above the knee I would take it where I'd want the bottom to be plus the additional inches you said? My thigh is 19inches.. hip 31.4 inches without divide by 4 and waist 24.4inches ... so say if I had the same size fabric as you how much would I cut off? also how would I get the clean finished look at the waist when its sewn to the top?

  • This is Metal.

  • I made a pair of these for my daughter's cosplay costume but instead of elastic at the ends bloomer leg holes i put in a draw string and made the ribbon satin and red. it added a little flair to the bloomers and looked really cute.

  • lol bloomers dance

  • I would love to have written directions with photos. This is a great tutorial that I have used a few times and I would love to have a print version so I can keep it in my pattern binder.

  • THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! im trying to make this kind of pants but shorter! ;D for my cosplay (ciel in wonderland [blackbutler] and i was stressing on how i'll do this. lol. thanks alot. ^^

  • Omg you are so precious. Thank you for this video. I had actually turned this into a child size and made them for a baby!

  • Measurements in cm please?

    Because I don't know how much I can trust those importers ;;

  • great tutorial! i was wondering if you know the name of the type of shirt you're wearing with the bold shoulders like that? i've always wanted to make them myself but i cant look it up because i dont know what its called :(

  • @sugarandspazz They're just puff sleeves that taper down to the width of her arm, probably made of a slightly stretchy material. C:

  • I friggin' love your tutorials! ^-^

  • Very cool.

  • Could you make a subscribe, how you do it on your homepage?

  • your bloomers realy help fill out the lolita dress i just made i trimmed them nicely with some pink ribbon so when my dress blew up yesterday it looked supercute

  • Nice! This will work for my Mephisto cosplay! Thanks! :3

  • @5.04 : I think my dad would fit in that.

Cute bloomers! Must made them myself!

  • I'm having a little bit of issues. The finished product always ends up with the crotch drooping below the legs of the bloomers. Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

  • Hey can I ask something? I'm planning on making a costume of mew Ichigo from the anime Tokyo Mew Mew and she has a bloomer kind of skirt. Is it possible to make a pink bloomer and then wear it with the bottom of the pipes on the most upperr part of your legs so it looks a bit like a skirt?

  • Back then that's considered "Dancing in your underwear" xD hehe Thank You! Mei lolita and I needed this (:

  • YAY! Thank you so much! I'm making this for my Ciel Circus Cosplay :D

  • I didn't get it.. What fabric was these made of? =) sorry if I am too dumb hahah

  • Thank you for making this tutorial I really needed these for my Chibi Russia cosplay and my friends Chibi Austria cosplay! <3

  • Thank you so much! You explained this so well. I'm using your tutorial to make bloomers for a Ponyo costume :)

  • Very nice video... I will try to make a bloomer later on. I love skirts and I find this very helpful especially if I am wearing a balloon/circle skirts. Thanks for posting.

  • thanks for the tutorial! it was very informative but when you says ease do you mean seam allowance?

  • hime is lolita.

  • "these are so much funn!" <3

  • If I wanted to put lace on the bottom do I put it on before or after elastic? Please and thank you!

  • I don't understand how to fold this.

  • @5:25 You might want to fold over a little bit more than an inch wide, but not more than 1/4 of an ich more, for wiggle room to get teh elastic through. If you can get a Berkin (its basically a thing of tweezers with a stopper ring to tighten them) it makes feeding elastic SOOOOO much easier. =D

  • thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! im kaing an alois in wonderland cosplay costume and this helped a LOT. I LOVE YOU.

  • So can you make these shorter and less pouffy? I have a very short dress that is pouffy and just want some short bloomers to stay appropriate and I think it would be cute and make me look like a doll! Just complete the outfit! Thanks!

  • She is so cute!!!! <333

  • So, you cute out two pieces and laid them one atop the other before folding in half? You just made the length the measurement + the eight inches, and the width is the fabric width?

  • @kitkattcassy yup

  • @Evange Alrighty, then; awesome :3

  • when you start dancing around in your "underwear" you made such a cute face XD

  • how did you fold this? You said in half but half of 45 or half of whatever the length is? this is kinda confusing

  • @xneverforeverwithyox Half of the 45". The way that fabric comes folded on the bolt. So that when the bloomers are complete, the grain will still run up-down.

  • Where's the pattern for these? D: I totally need a pair on the cheap but your site doesn't list the pattern for these... :(

  • @hikarushirou Just follow the instructions in the video to make your own pattern.

  • What does the width of the fabric determine on the bloomers? I feel like I may need to cut down the 45 inch to something smaller but I'm not sure how much I have to cut off... I'm trying to make bloomers for my friend but she's a size 0 and sometimes even XS clothing is a bit too big for her- at least, mainly concerning her waist and hip when I was trying to buy her a dress. D:

  • @DemonMaiden The width determines how puffy they are.

  • You make all your clothes? :D

  • @xXxMySweetChannelxXx I used to, but I'm much to lazy now.

  • THANK U so muich !!! I always wanted to make some *___*

  • I love your videos! Could these be pulled off as harem pants? Or would that be a different cut?

  • @oozer23 Harem pants are slightly different, but you could use this pattern, only longer, in a pinch.

  • you are very helpful and i'm happy i found your tutorials you helped me out big time

  • HELP! I love your tutorials. Can you tell me how to ruche a bodice? I'm working with Simplicity 5006. The base bodice will be taffeta, and I would like to add a ruched overlay to each section, maybe out of silk or tulle. I would like the pleats/gathers to be slightly diagonally, so would I slash the pattern diagonally???? I need to have the dress ready in 10 days. Thanks!

  • Chibitalia! <3

  • thank you sooo much!, made one for my doll =]

  • You have excellent presentational skills. Thanks a million for the tutorial.

  • Wow I understood you perfectly. I'm gonna do this tomorrow. Thanks :)

  • If I am making short bloomers, does the fabric still have to be 45 inches wide?

  • @JadeyBugSkittle No, It;s just that most fabric is 45" anyway, so it makes it easier to draft and cut the pattern.

  • just made a pair of these today ^-^ thanks Evange!

  • how would I add ruffles to the bottom of the bloomers?

  • You're just the best at explaining stuff! XD

  • GOOD JOB

  • just loved it..

  • just loved it..

  • Question... Did you pre-wash the fabric? The extra 8 inches that you are adding while measuring, what is that for? 2 inches for the waistband, 2 inches for both legs(?) and 2 inches for shrinkage?

  • @sarah9847 ease

  • Now I know why you cut out the threading through the casing part out...phew!

  • @littlemissproduction : Yep, that's pretty much it.

  • awwwn they look ridiculous but thanks for telling it!\Cutte thoo!

  • THANK YOU for all your easy to follow tutorials!!! all the other tutorials I've found on making bloomers and lolita style skirts have been hardly any help! And I love how you have fun trying on the clothes you make XD

  • I am looking to make bloomers, but I'd like them to be "short" like pantie style. How would I go about doing that? Would I just measure higher up on the knee? Also, if I want them extra "puffy" would I use a wider width? I love this tutorial, there are virtually no patterns online for "adults" and my recent cosplay involves bloomers, so thank you!!!!!

  • Thanks Evange!! I made SIX pairs of these following your tutorial! They make awesome PJ bottoms! I made them in diff colors...oh, and by the way, Im a guy! I also made some for the GF and she loves them too!

  • yey, I did it <3

    thank you

  • I love this!

Uhmmm...Yes, at first I did think they looked ridiculous. :) But, I know the feeling after completing your own CLOTHES! Thanks so much!

    Jaimseygirl

  • Blooming great! Luv your videos!

  • Could I make these out of an old bed sheet??

  • @silversteampunk bed sheets are just fabric.

  • I LOVE this! Thanks Evange! Bloomers would look amazing under some of my wild skirts in my wardrobe.

  • Btw: You look very good in bloomers ^^

  • Very nice! ^^ Thank you very much <3

  • Thank you for this! I was able to make a last minute pair for a cosplay.

  • cann youu makee a videooo on haremm pants ! :) but like kinda tighter ones .

  • This is THE most amazing tutorial i have ever found!! thank you so much!

  • aye a petticoat tutorial would be awesome- but im gonna check out your website in the patterns and project part aswell XD

  • those are more like drawers bloomers are a LITTLE bit shorter.

  • If I wanted to add frills in the bottom, how can that be achieved? Sorry, I even have trouble threading a sewing machine, so please bear with me ^^u

    Thanks!

  • What do I do if I want a ruffle at the bottom underneath the leg gathering? How do I make a casing for the elastic if I still want something underneath it?

  • I NEEEEEED A PETTICOAT TUTORIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you ever have one up i hope ill see it because everything you make helps me sooooooo much!!!

  • @theretards123 There's kind of a written description of how to make a petticoat on my website, under "patterns and projects" then "petticoat" (the second one, lol.)

I'll probably do a petti tutorial sometime in the new year. It takes a lot of gathering, and I'm lazy, so I'm going to get a gathering foot before I start.

Depending on what you need it for, you could try making a no sew tutu. just search "no sew tutu." there are like a zillion tutorials already.

  • @Evange alright thank you very much i will try that

  • @Evange I agree on the gathering foot! Its a big time saver, a ruffling foot is handy too :-)

    Awesome tutorials thank you!!!!!

  • @vasquezmm Oh, I thought they were the same thing?

  • can i you ask something ,how much fabrick did you use? (please answer i want to use it to make a cosplay :) )

  • @TheLitleVampireBat (the length of my waist to about my knee (20") + 2" for ease on the top + 2" for ease on the bottom + 2" for waistband allowance + 2" for hem allowance) x 2 legs

So 56" of fabric total for me.

  • @Evange thanks :)

  • thank you so much for this. I made a great split skirt for my daughter using this method. It was so awesome to be able to tailor it to her measurements. I only needed to use fabric that was 34" wide instead of 45".

  • Isn't it suppose to be divide by two? I made the mistake of listening too closely and I cut before I realized it. >_< Thankfully I managed to fix it.....kinda. Oh well, I'll have to see how they turn out now xP

  • @Ichigo1393 Where do I say that? what time in the video?

  • @Ichigo1393 It's divide by 4 because there are two pieces of fabric, and they are each folded in half.

  • @Evange Hmmm...then I have no idea what happened. Oh well, Silly me xD

  • Could you make a petticoat as well?

  • @xosweetpunkox I actually bought fabric to make a petticoat a while ago, but then I used it for something else :\

  • @Evange :O when you get around to it lemme know :)

  • @Evange I would really like to see a HOW TO for a peticoat as well :)

  • So I totally just made these tonight! I'm SO a beginner, so it took me 3 hours. LOL! But they turned out AWESOME!!! I even took some artistic liberties and did the frills at the bottom, b/c I needed Victorian era bloomers. THEY ROCK!!! Thanks so much for this Evange! My mom never taught me to sew, but YOU ARE!

  • @smhubler Ok, so how did you do the frills at the bottom?!

  • ★★★★★

  • @MadBadVoodo ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

  • @TMHonfire102 Evange Kicks Ass!!

  • Awesome tut. Thnx! They're adorable! x]

  • Thanks for the video! I was looking for a good tutorial on bloomers for my steampunk outfit. : )

  • Bloomers are hot. Am I weird?

  • @Kerosenetrewthe I definitely agree, but people tell me I look like I'm wearing diapers, but I think they're SOO cute.

  • "Like Hammer pants, only shorter, and more victorian!"

    Lol, that's great.

    Awesome tutorial!

  • xD 'Hime', it's 'Hee-may' But I wont hold it against you :D

But nice! i might make some bloomers one day

  • @MahouNekoShady I don't think she was talking about the Japanese word for Princess. so yeahhhh.

  • @Zsanebula: Ah, i only assumed since she said Lolita before it. Either way, I liked the tutorial :D

  • bloomers suck

  • cool!

  • damm girl ur simply beautiful.. if i gave you my love, what would i get from you?

  • @mana2432 My love in return?

  • @Evange :D fair enough. really good vid. Why did you tag your vid as hammer time?

  • @mana2432 because bloomers are kind of similar to hammer pants.

  • wearing mine now
