@jr52990 The movie revolves around a fascist idea that emotion causes war and murder and stuff like that, so it's all banned. Of course, dogs and other animals bring in those emotions, like happiness, joy, and so on so forth. So Christian Bale, an enforcer of these rules, starts to feel emotion.
