  • There's a song with the same melody during the chorus as this one. Does anybody know what song I'm thinking of? It's an older song.

  • i take dumps to this song

  • @WillPoleVault4Food Wow! You too? The first time I actually listened to this song was taking a dump while putting a "gentle guitar" playlist together when I was on holiday in Patagonia! Now everytime I listen to this song I remember taking a dump in Patagonia. Fine memories...

  • It's been a while since I've heard a song move me this much. The vocals are beautiful as well as the songwriting. I look forward to more from Grizzly Bear

  • umm i really like this song so just stfu and gtfo if u have something stupid to say.

  • @cowboydanisoutofgas that's deep.

  • this song makes me feel like a stark winter's morning in a concrete house surrounded by giant banks of snow, a house with a metal railing on the stairway and my ribcage shaking because of the temperature

  • @cowboydanisoutofgas Sounds like Michigan.

  • @brandonlawes West Michigan!

  • @WillPoleVault4Food hah! I'm on the east :D

  • I kinda felt like I was floating while listening to this. Almost like after a really good yoga session. Thanks grizzly

  • Errrrrrrrrr you tube drama never ceases to amaze me...

    This song is lovely...

    <3

  • @love4quinn haha, tell me about it, and i think i love this band, they are amazing :)

  • @yardboy325 haha XD

  • gay

  • @yardboy325 lmfao

  • Why all the anger? Where is the compassion? Why when someone points out a fact that someone's gay (whether they disagree or agree) do people jump on them like a bandwagon? Whether or not that person agrees with it doesn't matter. You can't change people with angst (usually). It's more beneficial to discuss maturely with that person their opinion. That's how you make a difference.

  • This song is 5:18 minutes long, I was born May 18th! It's also a fucking rad song.

  • I know people r saying to not care that the lead singer is gay, but it really matters to me. I loved Grizzly Bear before, but when I found out that Ed Droste was gay, it really inspired me to come out to my family. And now that I did I'm happier than ever! =D Sooooooo yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh. Thanx Ed!

  • I don't get how this wasn't a single

  • This song saves my ears during school hours.

And holy crap, I just can't get enough of it because it's so different and just amazing.

  • there amazing but i thought only 1 of them were gay.? i hate when ppl say they suck cuz the rock!

  • Orgasam at 3:03

  • the only way this could get better is if they performed this in an unconventional setting, maybe in the back of a bus or cab or something, and the song was stripped down to a really stirring acoustic version, thereby amplifying their vocals and ability to harmonize. OH WAIT.

  • the one disslike can suck it!

  • The lyrics tear me apart, in a beautifully yet grim manner. <3

  • Did you know all the members of the band are gay. And I am serious.

  • @KKbraun so what if they are...

  • @babygotblown dude why do you have to be a dick, I was informing of you of something I did not know. I was not showing any hate towards Grizzly Bear.

  • @KKbraun yeah who gives a fuck .. they sound good and thats all that matters!

  • @KKbraun probably not but even so who cares they all have beautiful souls

  • @KKbraun oh man oh shit they're GAY?!?! omg YOURE SERIOUS?! who gives a fuck that doesn't affect or change anything about their music, or how i view this band, and it should be the same way for you and everyone else.

  • @4bobbryar4 Omg I could have sworn I put something down refering to I did not mean to put it like that. Grizzly Bear is one of my favorite bands and I am not trying to throw them in the hole. So chill out.

  • @KKbraun no, you didn't say anything along the lines of "and i don't mean it like that." you said "and i am serious," which is obviously implying that you think the fact that they're all gay is ridiculous or unbelievable. why did you even take the time out to write that comment about how they're all gay if it supposedly doesn't matter to you? no one gives a fuck about their sexual orientation except you; if you were really a fan of them you would only be commenting about their music.

  • @4bobbryar4 thats the only comment i think i've ever read that generalizes the entire human race, and has every right to do so lol

  • @KKbraun Oh damn, now I have to get a sex change.

  • @KKbraun So who cares your sexuality doesn't affect your talent. some of the biggest talents in history are homosexual.

  • Fuck man grizzly bear just leaves you speechless it just relaxes you to the fullest its great backround/thinking music I hope to find many more great songs.

  • Grizzly Bear is amazing. None of my friends like them but I think they are great and I don't really care what people think about my taste in music. BUT THIS SONG IS EPIC.

  • the thing i really love about grizzly bear is all the strong voices packed in to one to band.

its like they dont have a lead singer. when a vocalist switches in the whole melody changes like a drop. its just mind boggling how melodic they are

  • That was a looooooong 5min and 18sec... Put me in a state of ecstasy... fuuuu aaa ooohh..

  • why is grizzly bear so amazing? <3

  • This is ace, their black cab acoustic version of this song .... just awesome.

  • Jack Goes Boating brought me here. lovely song

  • not too shabby

  • A fine song, yes. Still loathe the band's name.

  • im so sick of all these corny fucking most liked comments.

  • @stphnyvillegas Does yours count as one?

  • @skylineiiigtr shiiiitt, wow i didnt even know it was one lol

  • @BabyayKaryay508 I hope it got better.

  • Does anyone sense the resemblance to Grizzly Bear's song 'Southern Point'?

I absolutely love how they are slightly similar- Almost different versions of the same song.

  • @Komihana

It's not just you- it's almost a direct melody lift.

To anyone complaining about this- don't. It's an intentional and rather well done callback. Kind of like how "Breathe" gets a reprise on Dark Side of the Moon.

I just kinda wish this song was the last track on the album- we'd get a cool Book End sort of effect.

  • story of my life

    guilty as well

    I did what was done

  • im the only one who has a problem with this track, cuz half of it sounds like Southern Point? seriously

  • @bejAmir I've noticed that too, but I wouldn't say I have a problem with it, I mean it's not exactly alike and it's just a lovely song.

  • It'a the first time i listen to grizzly bears. I think I've just woken from a music sleep.

  • such amazing sound. i used to listen to metal but decided to quit. so I came across these guys and was just blown away. very soothing sound. gonna buy the album when i got the money. thank you for posting!

  • Ugal;sdf;uwer;aluisdf so good

  • Stumbled upon this song looking at the soundtrack for Jack Goes Boating. This one fits right in to the "cool" songs that are on that ensemble. Badass mellow magic.

  • This album plays at least 10 times a day in my car or house or at work. Best album I think I've ever bought and this is my favortie song!

  • This honestly just puts me into a different world. It's so intense. So beautiful. I've lost words.

  • I love the whole thing, but 4:18 is just so happy I love it.

  • Jack Goes Boating!

  • Maaaaaan! How I wish my crush knows these guys! He likes this kind of music and we would both like it at the same time :D

  • @cutegirlkami96 damn, wish i had a tasteful admirer! play it to him. If he doesn't love it he's not worth your time haha

  • @stenualdo Hahahaha yeah, I guess I will show it to him. I'm sure he will love it<3 We both have a great taste in music, that's cool ;)

  • @ihatecaptchas agreeddddddd

  • such an amazing song

  • i have the intro as a ring tone

  • CRAP!!!

  • This is like haunting...but in the most awesome way ever. I'm addicted

  • this song haunts me.

  • excelent...a pleasure to listen to them. It takes me to a whole new dimension!!!!

  • this reminds of a time, the most beautiful one..

  • i was listening to this album while i was reading tuesdays with morrie a while back. i always imagine the ending part with mitch sitting with morrie right before he dies and he finally finds peace within himself when i listen to this.

  • this is my fav grizzly bear song & probably one of my top 10 favorite songs

  • I love this! This helps me when I'm journaling, to just get my thoughts out.

  • I can't

    get out

    of what I'm into

    with you

Taken from my soul and put into words.

    <3

  • my face looks about like *-* this every time I listen to them,.. which is pretty much constantly.

  • this gives me hope for newer music :) this is REAL :)

  • WHAT A GREAT SONG BROTHERS GRIZZLY!!

  • did anyone notice on this album version in particular..this track has a kind of jeff buckley "so real" feel to the guitar and impetus to the chorus. its much more than this i know.. but if you listen to the guitar you can hear the "so real" groove.

  • @pvtdangles YES!!!!

  • fuck me this is top shelf shit.. what a song.. what a group of artists..

  • Not sure why, but everytime I listen to this - I break out in goosebumps. Moving!

  • speechless.

  • This whole album is amazing. I first heard Colorado off Yellow House in a yoga class and had to ask who it was...been hooked since.

  • I will never forget the first time I heard this song

    Fucking amazing!

  • THIS IS A PICE OF ART!!

looks like music is going back to real intruments and pure voices.

i love this band and i really think that todays music is more of computer sounds and watever comes to your head just to make it rime good FUCK THAT!

this is real music, 3 people paying intruments and one singing from soul!!

just like it suposed to be. 70 are coming back. I hope.

  • i wanna have sex with this song

  • For me, this is the highlight of the album. One of those horrible songs that manages to be sad in an ambiguosly happy way. I don't know how I survived without this song.

  • trippy as fuck

  • This is good music.

  • Yeah that about sums it up.

  • @Elchsgeist this is not just good music, this is poetry

  • it reminds me of the backround music in the movie smithereens

  • i especially love the last 1 minute of the song. great song! :)

  • yeah, seriously, it sounds JUST like southern point in the chorus area. i somehow had heard all of the songs on this album except this one and when i stumbled across it and started listening i was like wait this is southern point i didnt mean to click....on......WAIT A SECOND!! THIS ISNT SOUTHERN POINT! hahaha, it's like they wrote the music, then couldnt decide which lyrics they wanted to use for it, so they just broke it off into two similar songs.

  • yeah it sounds like southern point in parts, i used to get confused while listening... but it's a nice continuation

the bit at the end is sooo good

  • 'the crowd they like the carnival' might be a bit of a reference to SP in terms of that song's percussion.. sort of an afterthought to the circus-chaos of the album opener.

    great tune.

  • I'm Blown away once again By Grizzly Bear. Amazing Amazing music. Funny thing is Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead is why i started listening to them.

  • hA HA me too

  • if I do things best why invite others in to clutter my desk? The Atlantic licks our back porch It's frothy foam salts my tomato and rhubarb plants Across the street Boston Harbor stills, purrs quiet as a sleeping cat until the wind stirs it Grampy mortared a seawall around our modest summer castle, held back last year's hurricane
  • I love how it references 'Southern Point' a bit!!!

  • @ElderSwear07 which part do you mean?

  • like the chorus- listen to Southern Point, and then listen to the chorus. To me, they sound similar.

  • @ElderSwear07 It is because the chorus is sung by Rossen, and all the southern point song is sung by Rossen as well :)

  • No, that's not it either, it's just the sound and structure of the chorus is similar to that of Southern Point. To me, at least.

  • The lyrics are the same too, at the part that most reminds me of SP.

  • I hate the singer who does the choruses, I just like the other guys voice, the other is just kind of annoying

  • It's the same guy. He sings the whole song, chorus and all. Swab out the earwax and listen again.

  • actualy. its not. ed sings the verse.

    TARD!!!!

  • just.. respect !

  • this song goes with anything......i was doped up with the ipod connected to the stereo and my friend was playing a zombie game with the sound affects on and i was just picturing a t rex destroying a city cause of the roars from the zombies and the army was shooting at it from the gun sounds....this is one of the best songs i have ever heard

  • @halofreak013

    ZOMG!!!! ZOMBLIES!!!!!

  • @halofreak013 what the fuck? LoL I'm feelin you man even though I don't completely comprehend

  • @halofreak013 That sounds tripped out man.

  • @halofreak013 hmm y'know I could never see Grizzly Bear as a good band to game to but that sounds like a fuckin hoot. lol. I'm gonna have to give that a try, after all left for dead high is fuckin sweet and grizzly bear high is fuckin beautiful so maybe they would be two of those thing that seem like they would clash so badly but then turn out to be amazing just cause they're so different. kinda like how mad world by gary jules fit gears of war perfectly. sorry for such a lengthy comment lol.

  • @halofreak013 Yeah!! getting doped up is rad!! And video games with ipod 's connected to the sound AFFECTS of the stereo and t rex's destroying cities and gun sounds and stuff are fucking RAD!!!

  • @halofreak013 I think you forgot the part where the roller coaster spins out of control whilst crashing into a giant hay of pudding flung by a chimp named Bo BO Baggins who wears speedos and likes pina colladas on warm summer nights.

  • if you love this then try department of eagles.

  • Class.

  • This song is beautiful and fucking stunning as shit; I'm sitting here covered in goosebumps and I can't remember my thoughts before the first chord.

  • amazing

  • i fucking love this song.
