  • The word you're looking for is "grand".

  • Oh, now I see, Its an instrumental the dirty jobs.

  • all use it as an outro, once ive mp3d the domos, aint looken right throu but there seems to be a good 50pct my-man.scotty

  • This reminds me of the beginning of "5:15" and also "Sparks".

  • And Pete spliced this?? Pete was 70 % of the Who.. You acn figure out the rest

  • Think "Absolutely Free," from the Mothers' "We're Only In It For The Money."

  • this is one of the most simply beautiful pieces of music ever made

  • thank you this is what makes Pete so brilliant he stirs your emotion with a few chords he makes you feel and be the music . you will cry if his chord tells you too you will laugh is it wants you to. he is a genius , musician from the heart, we love you Pete

  • Amazing ! I can't stop playing this....it gives me chills !

  • OMG this is soooooooooooo beautiful

    Pete is a genius

  • I wake up to this every morning. It's my alarm call. Fuckin magic. Pete Townsend is simply genius. Beautiful piece of music.

  • would have liked to see what keith would've done with this on the drums :D

  • @ManiacDrummer1212 he would have done nothing. he always knew how to compliment petes compositions. this one is very personal and pure. he'd leave it alone:)

  • Its on Townshends "Scoop" CD...

  • From The Real Me and Punk meets the Godfather Demos, I think Quadrophenia was originally about a mod group, or more specifically, the godfather.

  • I will ask this again... WHERE DID YOU GET THIS MASTERPIECE!?!

  • FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!

  • Scoop

  • After listening to a number of Pete's demos, it becomes clear that The Who as a whole were not needed to make these songs great. What the rest of the band did was make already brilliant songs somehow more brilliant.

    Townshend is a genius. <_<

  • This is'nt an intro , it's fucking brilliant though , reminds me of amazing journey 4 years down the line or the bit of music in the film where sting gets circled by scooters at night continued

  • That's beautiful! Wonder why it wasn't added...

  • Nice little piece, to which I shall be returning.

  • This was originally available on scoop, the first pete townshend scoop!

There are many of them now!

He was definately onto something great with this!!!

  • Where did you get this masterpiece?!

  • that still doesn't answer my question. What is the name of the demo CD and where do you get it?

  • Comment removed

  • I think it's on Townshend's album called "Scoop"

You can try to look it up if you want.

  • Wonderful, really captures the mood of Quadrophenia.

  • Beautiful, thanks for uploading!

  • I fell in love with this theme when SCOOP first came out in the 80's, and still play it every time I sit at a piano. Thank "pete" a lot of it ended up in "Dirty Job's"

"I'm getting put down, I'm getting pushed round - I'm being beaten every day"

  • Underated Piano player, that Pete!!
