Julie's voice is obviously lighter, an more musical - she _always- sings on pitch...and although A's voice is one of the most beautiful timbres to have ever been heard, she is not quite the musician Julie is. BTW J's repertoire must be about the same - A's is quite limited.....I think A would never have the success on Broadway - she doesn't have the voice for it....but....Julie could've been quite successful in Opera - just see Julie's teenage clips for evidence.... they are both

Opera singers, to my mind, should be good at singing. The more languages they are proficient at the better, but all languages? No-one on Earth can do that!

And the microphone is for TV transmission not auditorium amplification!! I've heard her sing live in the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, London and believe me, she DOES NOT need a microphone!!
