Looks nice! but how do you change tire load? if the intension is for transient force testing how do you avoid the dynamics of the rig(vibrations of the rig)?
Good question. We have bricks of lead to adjust the normal load. They can be seen bolted to the top of the arm. We are not trying to measure dynamic load responce, just looking for simple force vs slip curves. You can see a lot of data scatter at 3:54. Vibration would have been a bigger problem if we didnt test on a smooth runway.
